Well you may be doing something wrong or the male may not be the female's choice. Remember: NEVER put a female in a male's cage to mate or she may be attacked. ONLY put the male in the female's cage just after you have cleaned her out because in the wild the female would spring clean the burrow and the male would seek her out.
Yes, fighting means they do not like each other.
About 5 weeks. They will try to mate with each other if you don't.
No, they are different species, like cats and dogs. They will not try to mate, and cannot produce offspring together.
They where probably fighting over territory. If they where both males then that is the cause. But, some hamsters just don't like to be with other hamsters. You could try to switch handfulls of bedding everyday so they get used to eachothers smell again. Then you could try to put them back together again. If they still fight then separate them and keep switching the bedding.
DON'T TUCH THEM, if you do the mom will eat them! Try to find a home for them when they are at least 5 weeks old. Separate them by gender when they are at least 4-5 weeks old, if you don't they will mate and you will have ALOT of baby hamsters.DO NOT put baby hamsters with their dad , if you do he will eat them or even mate with the girls.Hope this helps. he will try to mate or breed them so unless you want a sheepgoat thing that's probably not a good idea
To mate your dwarf hamsters, you have to have one female and one male hamster. Make sure they have separate cages, and when your female hamster is "in the heat", (hamster period, this means she's ready to mate) put them together in one cage for a few minutes. Observe. If they start fighting or biting each other, separate them immediately! Try again a few days later. If they like each other, they will mate and do their job. Leave them in there until they're done, or about half an hour later. Hope this helped! P.S Female hamsters are in the heat every 4 days, and to tell if she is in the heat, just tickle her bottom and she will become stiff and in an awkward position, she will also smell very odd.
Try to put them in the same cage and if you notice they are fighting, take them out because hamsters are solitary creatures. Also, try to check if your female hamster is in heat.I am not 100% sure so to protect your hamsters, first place them on the ground together and if they show aggression, don't try to breed them.

it takes time you have to put the boy in the same cage as the girl wait about a week or 2 so they can get used to each other and the boy can get used to the cage then they will mate and it should be fine x
Dolphins mate because they want to try and keep there species going for as long as possible. pretty much same reason as humans.
