If you have any kind of iPod EXCEPT for an iPod touch or an iPhone, then the following will get your iPod "unstuck".
- Lock your iPod for 10 seconds using the switch on the top of the device
- Unlock your iPod using the switch on the top of the device after 10 seconds
- Press and hold the center button AND the top button at the same time.
- Wait for 10-30 seconds while still holding both of those buttons mentioned above
- The apple logo of Apple should appear; you may release the two buttons.
- Within seconds, the apple logo will be gone and it your iPod's screen will return to the main menu, "unstuck".
