Try using the Fn key. Along the top of your latop are numbers. I don't know where it will be on yours but there is a button that changes the screen from lcd and sets it up for projecters.
Someone may be able to explain this a bit clearer than me :P
No, actually it's F13.
I think you hold the control (CTRL) button and scroll the mouse at the same time to adjust the screen.
Could be because the display brightness is set to low. If you have a new laptop, see if it has a "Fn" button and a button with a sun with an arrow pointing up. Hold down the "Fn" button and tap the other button a couple of times.Remember that your screen contrast affects your screen brightness. Check the contrast settings and set them to >20, anything lower is hard to see.
If your laptop is playing music when nothing is running in the background, you need to change your settings. You may have it set to play music when your screen saver comes on.
You can turn it on and the red (on) button shows but nothing is shown on the screen.
If the external monitor works fine then most likely there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or video card and the problem is somewhere inside the laptop display panel. Here's what I usually do in order to narrow down problems like this: 1. I reseat the video cable connectors on both ends, on the motherboard/video card and on the back of the LCD screen. If the video cable gets loose, it might cause a problem like on your laptop. 2. Replace the video cable 3. Replace the LCD screen
my laptop is turned on but my screen won't work.
"print screen" button in "home" and "insert" button in the vicinity .If you want to print screen, try PCHand screen capture .Here i recommend PCHand Screen Capture which im using now. It could capture anything on the screen with flexible capturing profiles and edit the screenshots with the powerful build-in editor. It is easy to use, even for a novice, and I think it will be a good choice.
