What if your laptop power button is on but nothing is showing on the screen?

Try using the Fn key. Along the top of your latop are numbers. I don't know where it will be on yours but there is a button that changes the screen from lcd and sets it up for projecters.
Someone may be able to explain this a bit clearer than me :P
