The overhead computer is power by two fuses, one under the hood on the right front labled radio and the other in the fuse block on the right end of the dash as you open the passenger door. There is a panel there you pull off to access the block. Third row of fuses from left, fourth or fifth up labled radio also. This circuit runs the sliding rt side door also.
I would suspect a ground problem. Saying that, check the brake light switch.

OK well since no one could answer this, I went ahead and fixed it myself.... I got another curcuit board and the mini readout computer from a junk yard, took the overhead down and unplugged the items replaced both items as I didn't know which wasn't working. After replacing them, the thing works again, so it must have been a bad board, or the readout display unit.
