WW1 resulted in three important impacts on history: 1. The introduction of air to air combat (aerial warfare/dog-fighting). 2. The introduction of tanks (armor) and an end to massive human wave assaults by infantrymen; submarine warfare, the conducting of "guerre de course" (Merchant/Commerce Raiding). 3. An Iron Cross Medal winner for gallantry on the battlefield, Corporal Adolf Hitler, Austrian/German Army. The future leader of WW2 Germany.
When viewed in the light of World War II, the effects of World War I appear to be very negative. While the First World War ended in an ostensible Alliance victory, all of the gains were short-term in nature. Territory changed hands, reparations were demanded and received, peace was obtained, victory parades were enjoyed, an empire (the Austro-Hungarian) was dismantled, and the German military was reduced in scale. Yet, within fifteen years, tensions had once again begun to grow between the same principal powers at odds during the First World War, and the Western Powers seemed to have no answer to the growing strength of Nazi Germany.
Germany was applied a huge debt, whih might have been one of the reasons for WW2.
