Right now we are in the year of 1783 and the Revolutionary War is

over! I am a Patriot and I think that the cause of the Revolutionary War was the conflict between the Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain. The Americans wanted their own country and were tried of being ruled by Great Britain. I believe that we should be independent and we should be our own country! We shouldn't be paying taxes to The King of Britain! What for? The King of Britain doesn't do anything for us! Not Fair! Our leader is General George Washington! I don't feel that we are being treated fair by The King of Britain

What Political impact did the French and Indian War have on British North America?

As a result of the French and Indian War, the British's attention was drawn onto the colonies for the first time in a long time. After the war, the British put more of a tight leash upon the colonies. They stopped the colonies from having independent governments, like the Virginia House of Burgesses. Also, the Proclamation for 1763 was passed, stopping the colonists from moving west of the Appalachian Mountains. The Stamp and and the Tea acts were also passed, the Stamp act being eventually repealed, but the Declaratory act was passed.
