This became apparent as Australia and Japan were fighting for Australia's territiory and the millions of men killed in famous battles such as The Battle Of Midway, and The Battle of Britain

The effects from World War 2 on the world was wide and far reaching. The Cold War started. Nations had to be rebuilt after all the bombing and elimination of farm fields during the fighting. The UN grew stronger and more nations joined. The USSR kept the countries they defeated and did not let them become democracies. I have added a link for you to read for many more details. In the USA there was a baby boom in the population and the economy flourished again after the long hard Great Depression.
