California's Central Valley is devoted primarily to agriculture; fruit, almonds, vegetables and cattle ranches. Sacramento, at the northern end of the valley, is a government town but is becoming a technology center as Silicon Valley residents discover that they can afford much nicer homes in Sacramento and Folsom than they could in Cupertino or Sunnyvale.
There are industries in California that are found all over the country. The wine industry and the movie industry are two of the biggest industries found in California.
It is the agricultural hub for California. It is also very important to the agriculture of all of the US.
