Walt Disney was interested in art from a young age, taking night classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Chicago Art Institute. In high school he drew political Cartoons for the school newspaper. In 1920 Walt took a job with the Kansas City Film Ad Company, where he created a series of cutout animated commercials. He began experimenting with animation during his time off and founded Laugh-O-Gram Studio in 1922. When the business went bankrupt, Walt and his older brother Roy moved to Hollywood in hopes of starting a new animation studio.
