The Duck in the piece Peter and the Wolf is played by the oboe, my favourite instrument, which I actually play. I think the oboe has a very fitting sound for the Duck, as most people describe it as "nasally and annoying."
I am sorry to say that the wolf in Peter and the Wolf does not have a name. Why? I do not know. Maybe to make kids more scared of it. Sometimes something with no name is scarier than something with a name. Great question though!
