Well, if you mean a rock band, it really depends on the style but the most common instruments are guitar (electric or acoustic), Bass Guitar, drums, and keyboard. Jazz bands are usually composed of saxophones (an alto or two, a tenor, and a baritone), trombones (three regular trombones and a bass Trombone or two), four trumpets, an upright bass, a piano, and a drumset. A wind ensemble usually has two tubas, two euphoniums/baritones, four trombones, two or three french horns, six trumpets, eight clarinets, five saxophones (of varying, uh, sound) two bass clarinets, a bassoon or two, eight flutes, and an Oboe.
