FSB = Federal Savings Bank.
FSB stands for front side bus. It's the "information highway" between the CPU and the other hardware components, like the hard drive. It's bi-directional, too.--Acronym DefinitionFSB Front-Side BusFSB Federation of Small Businesses (UK)FSB Federal Savings BankFSB Financial Services Board (South Africa)FSB Fakultet Strojarstva i Brodogradnje (Croatian: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture)FSB Forward Support Battalion (US Army)FSB Fire Support BaseFSB Free Software BusinessFSB Federalnaya Sluzhba Bezopasnosti (Russian: Federal Security Service; FSK successor since 1995)FSB Falange Socialista Boliviana (Bolivian Socialist Falange)FSB Florence Savings BankFSB Fuqua School of Business (Duke University)FSB forward support base (US DoD)FSB Field Service BulletinFSB Full System Backup (computer)FSB Flight Standardization BoardFSB Financial Spread Betting (London)FSB First Star BankFSB Front Sight BaseFSB FlightSafetyBoeingFSB Functional System BlockFSB Force Shaping Board (US Air Force)FSB Full Size Bronco (Ford vehicle club)FSB Full Size Bronco (vehicle)FSB Fasten Seat Belt (aviation)FSB Florida Sea Base (Islamorada, FL conference center)FSB Fully Split Bands (coin grading)FSB Forward Staging BaseFSB Financial Systems BranchFSB Finjan SecureBrowsingFSB Fleet Satellite BroadcastFSB Fire Support BatteryFSB Flow State BlockFSB Final Staging BaseFSB Fallout Studies Branch, Division of Biology & MedicineFSB Floating Support BasesFSB Fuzzy Switchover BlockFSB Force Status Briefing (US Army)FSB Fuel Support BuildingFSB Full Search BlockFSB Frequency - Same Bearing (tactical acoustic analysis)FSB Frankenmuth State Bank (Frankenmuth, Michigan)FSB Fiber Seeking BackhoeFSB Federation of Sneaky Bastards (airsoft team)FSB Factory System Bench
BankFinancial FSB was created in 1962.
The CPU talks to the RAM via the Front Side Bus (FSB.) The FSB is controlled by the Northbridge processor built into the computer's main board (Motherboard.) The Northbridge also manages your PCI_Express 16x slots, and integrated video cards.
It means Front Side Bus (FSB) it is the wire (bus) that carries information to your CPU. The speed of the FSB is how fast the info will be delivered.
No, Because it's designed for a lower fsb (specifically, it's designed for a different fsb)
I don't think it will. The demension 2400's board was designed to only run at 533mhz fsb max. It might be able to scale it down to 533mhz but you wouldn't get all of the performance. Only the P4's that run at 533mhz fsb will work in it as far as I know (I have one). The max clock speed for a P4 at 533mhz fsb that I know of is 3.06 GhZ
Most likely it will not.
Plenty of older processors have had 1GHz FSB. Intel Celeron is one of them.
Battle of FSB Mary Ann happened on 1971-03-28.
