wats ERG?
An erg is a unit of energy equivalent to 10-7 Joules. It is also a dyne centimeter, which is probably the most common expression of an erg. And 6.2415 ×1011 eV (electron volts) is also an erg. A link is provided to the Wikipedia article on the erg.
erg theory of motivation
It depends on which music you plan on using them for. The ERG 121 is geared more towards a metal/rock sound while the EG 112 is more suited to the Blues & Rock (and Pop) sounds that that you would get from a stratocaster type pick-up configuration. As far as playability is concerned, they are almost identical to me: Both guitars are light, both have very smooth necks & are very easy to play. So I guess pick-up configuration and looks would be your main deciding factors.
1 erg = 1/10^7 Joules
An "erg" is used as the measure for energy and / or mechanical work and thus is often used in the context of physics. There exists conversions for erg in Joule since Joule is more common than erg.
