If the coin grades less than VF-20 it is not collected or sought by serious collectors and would be worth approimately gold spot if you are selling to the public. But coin dealers pay up to 5-25% less than gold spot price for bullion coins that are heavily worn. I have a slabbed 1924 MS-62 worth$1540-$1580 approximate grey sheet price. Hope this answer helps.
