That depends on who is measuring the speed. Many companies require 30 to 40 words per minute for data entry positions, while secretarial and legal positions typically require 80 to 120 words per minute typing speed. Essentially, in a job search that requires typing speed...the faster you type without errors, the better your chances of landing the job and the more opportunities are available to apply for.
Most jobs out there will require at lest 60 wpm. So anything higher than 60 wmp is good.
