Lincoln worked constantly, failed in business twice, and finally made money reading law. In more settled times he would have been an extremely successful rich lawyer. Washington worked constantly but then married money. In more settled times, he would have lived the life of a country squire.

Lincoln served briefly in a Militia. Washington spent years in the Military.

1. Lincoln was not respected by the republicans. Davis is known as a leader who easily created enemies for the state. 2. Lincoln had conflicts with the senate. Davis got irked easily by Alexander Stephens. 3.Lincoln was dubbed as an effective president despite his lack of military experience. Davis was seen of having the greater inclination of becoming a leader. 4.Lincoln gained popularity as the war slowly progressed. Davis did not get as popular as Lincoln. 5.Lincoln was born in 1809 Davis was born in 1808.
