The value of ANY firearm is based on exact make, model, condition, and originality. The Carcanos are not high value guns, due to the extremely large numbers of them sold on the surplus market in the US. An original military M91 in good condition currently retails for $100-$125 or so.
how much is the carcano rifle worth
Depending on the condition of the stock and the bore, in December 2014 a Carcano Model 91 (6.5 x 54) could be bought for U.S. $ 175 - 300.00, plus shipping, FFL, and any taxes
You MAY be describing a Carcano military rifle. If so, values about $150, depending on condition.
50-250 USD or so
50-250 USD or so
Value of ANY firearm is based on make, model, condition. Since there were no makers that used Totte as a name, I think we have none of the 3 factors. Fabrica d'Armi Torre was an Italian arsenal that made Carcano rifles for the Italian military. You will need to visit a gunsmith or a gun show to determine exactly what you have. Sorry.
I do believe that it is the VO Vapen priced at $825,000 US. Others may compete in collector value. For example, if the Italian Carcano 6.5mm bolt action rifle that was used by Lee Harvey Oswald to kill John Kennedy were to ever reach the auction block... What Oswald probably bought for around $60 could go for millions. The rifle used to shoot George Wallace could be worth a fortune.
200 or so
No such model made.
It all depends on condition. The Italian Vetterli-Vitali 1870/87 in 10.35x47R(10.4x47R) is more collectable than the 1915 conversion to 6.5 carcano and is safer to shoot. The ammo is very scarce, but can be hand loaded. In vg condition $500+ would be a fair price. They do seem to becoming more popular these days and I've had mine for years. It really is a fine looking rifle.
$300-$550, depending on condition.
100-10000 USD.
