How old do you have to be to judge goat shows?

Age doesn't matter. You need knowledge of confirmation, dairy character, breed standards, disqualifing defects, etc. This comes from books, experience, and lots of questions. To be a judge in an ADGA sanctioned show you must have taken training courses.

What type of dairy goats milk is the best tasting?

The best type of breed for milking is a dairy goat. The best kind for milking though is the Nigerian dwarf. They are easy to handle and gentle and sweet.A breed of goat that has a bigger bag is the saanen.I think that the best type of milk goat is the LaMancha Dairy Goat. They have a good size milk sack and most have nice sized teats. If you selectively breed them, they will produce up to 1.5 gallons a day. I raise and show them all over the country. The LaMancha is a very docile goat when treated properly. They tend not to fight with other goats too. If it is any conciliation, the LaMancha goats have almost no ears. they hear just as well as humans, but there ears are like little nubs. They either have elf ears or gopher ears. To learn more, you can register with the ADGA ( American Dairy Goat Association), or go to there website and type in the LaMancha Dairy Goat.Additional Info: Answer #2 -There are six types of dairy goats that are recognized by the American Dairy Goat Association. They are Nubians, LaManchas, Alpines, Oberhaslis, Togenburgs, and Nigerian Dwarf.Goats milk, and particularly Nubian goats milk is very healthy for you. Many claim the higher fat content makes it bad for you though and it has given goats milk a bad name. It is true that the fat content is higher but our bodies have a much easier time breaking down the fat than that of the highly processed and modified commercially available cows milk. In fact I would venture to say that un-pasteurized goats milk is some of the healthiest sources of nourishment available today. Its loaded with powerful probiotics and enzymes that help your digestive track in many ways similar to pro biotic yogurt. It's not recommended that you switch to pasteurized milk 100% right off the bat though. If you've not been raised on it like me and many others your system may have a hard time coping with all the new bacteria. While that bacteria can be good for you if your body perceives it as a threat because you've followed a completely sterile diet you will likely get sick from it for a while. It could be simple indigestion or full blown food poisoning like symptoms. The latter being quite rare.Well the saanen goat produces the most milk but it doesn't taste as good as the Nigerian dwarf goat. That's why i sold them to get the Nigerian dwarfs.
