Governments and Religions should be independent of each other. The only ruling party that has no association is that of the Communist Party. Though it will dictate what religion a country will have.

But i would say it is a dead government, because if religion is gone then we as a nation are gone too. Why because the Lord will not bless us and protect us.

Government without religion (a secular government) is NOT the same idea as people without religion. Government without religion is absolutely essential. A secular or non-religious government, along with the rights of individuals to practice religion (so long as practice does not violate the civil law which must take precedence) is the system which is most likely to respect freedoms while giving no group or individual undue power or influence.
