From time to time, the houses of representatives may get involved in disputes. To help resolve these issues, the US congressional conference committee is formed.
A conference committee is the committee that is temporarily created to solve differences between two houses over proposed legislation.
The Conference Committee is created to iron out the differences between the House and Senate versions of a bill. There are no formal rules governing conference committees procedures because they are intended to be flexible in negotiating sessions.
