A colostomy
Fecal matter forms in the intestines, mainly the large intestine. Right before defecation, it is stored in the rectum. Finally, the fecal matter passes out the anus, the muscular opening for passing fecal matter.
They are intestines, and intestines naturally smell like fecal matter. That is why you have to clean them and cook them thoroughly.
Enterostomies are performed in order to create a new opening for the passage of fecal matter when normal intestinal functioning is interrupted or when diseases of the intestines cannot be treated by medications or less radical surgery
Yes, it likely will. It can put holes in your stomach and/or intestines. A hole in the intestines is extremely painful, and it can be very dangerous. It leaks fecal matter into the bloodstream. This can cause a high fever, inflammation, and infection.
Gas or fecal matter moving in the intestines is the usual cause of this feeling.
The anus is the opening through which fecal matter (feces) and some gasses are eliminated from the body.
Great question! Typically sciatic pain is caused either by bony pressure on the sciatic nerve or more commonly by muscle pressure on the nerve as it passes through the large gluteal (buttock) muscles. The nerve isn't in the abdominal cavity where the intestines are so it doesn't seem likely that could be the cause of sciatic pain. Intestines can be filled with fecal material or feel lumpy but they are pretty well attached.
Bowel is actually your intestines...so I'm assuming you mean fecal matter? In which case it's done by means of something called peristalsis.
Once all the water and nutrients are absorbed in the small and large intestines, the fecal matter is stored in the rectum before it exits throught the anal canal and anus.
This sometimes happens when the muscles of the body relax allowing the sphincter muscle of the rectum to open, if there is fecal matter in the colon, then it can empty some of the contents. It does not always happen.
That is called the anus, the opening where fecal matter exits the body. The majority of animals have that or something similar. Birds and at least one mammal have a cloaca instead, and that is an opening for urination, defecation, mating, and laying eggs.
Poop, or feces, is excreted by the anus which is the terminal opening of the large rectum, a part of the large intestine or colon.
