Scouting for Food is a one of the BSA's National Good Turns that aims to collect food for local food banks who in turn distribute it to the needy.

The program began in 1988 with Scouts knocking on doors on a Saturday morning and asking for food. This quickly changed to leaving flyers or bags on one weekend and returning the next to collect.
