The most important building in Cardiff Bay is the Senedd Building, which is the seat of the Welsh Government. It opened in 2006 and was designed by Richard Rogers- prior to it's completion, from 1999-2006, the Welsh Government met in Cardiff Civic Centre.
Other famous buildings in Cardiff Bay include the National Coal Exchange, only part of which survives, the Welsh Maritime Museum, and the wooden Norwegian Church.
