This better quality of life for us all means that we...

1. respect others,

2. pay our taxes,

3. fly the American flag,

4. vote(so be aware & informed about key issues,)

5. obey the law,

6. serve on juries,

7. find some cause or organization to improve your community & build social cohension/bonds,

8. volunteer some of your time, money or effort for a worthy cause(some even chose to serve in the military to protect our people & rights & freedoms),

9. try to leave our great country better than it is now for our children & future generations,

10. realize that we belong to something special --that group of people called "Americans",

11. also realize that our rights have responsibilities, as freedom isn't free,

and like in anything what we put into it we get out of it, so participate!!!

NGOs such as Desh Apnayen, which conducts workshops with partnered schools to give citizenship education and help the students with their overall development
