yes, 10-40 just a higher grade motor oil then 5-30 or 5-40 i run 15-40 in my Ford Explorer
use 5w-40 or if it is not available 5w-30 is fine

The recommended oil for a Ford 300 is Shell Rotella 15w-40. If cost is an issue, regular 10w-30 or 10w-40 oil can be used.
If that is the correct weight recommended by Honda then yes you can use synthetic in the place of conventional lube.
