Cross training is just incorporating exercises that aren't apart of your usual schedule. Like training your body in multiple ways. It's good to have a solid schedule, lifting-running-classes-etc, but throw in a different, unique exercise to keep your muscles guessing. It doesn't have to be in the gym and it doesn't have to be super serious. Just something that keeps your heart rate up and body guessing.
Only when you want to meditate Answer You can increase your flexibility if you do it more often--BUT be sure to crosstrain, that is, to vary your routine so that you do not cause injury due to overwork. Be mindful and do not overdo.

Step 1: Get in Shape. You need to be in TOP physical condition. Running a mile in 6 minuets or less is a good start. Being able to do 100 pull ups non-stop is also a good starting point. Step 2: Master, NOT JUST LEARN but MASTER Krav Maga and Parkour. Crosstrain with any martial arts that you feel comfortable with. A master will recognize your intentions and offer to teach you. Step 3: Get the gear. Bullet proof vest, less-than-lethal weapons that are light weight and easy to conceal. There is bullet proof clothing that is lightweight and a good idea to get. Also Police scanner is handy. Impact resistant shoes is a must! Step 4: Costume. No, not tights and colorful leggings. I mean the Bulletproof clothing that looks normal. You don't want to stand out, you need to be able to move and run freely and blend in when you have to hide. You should be able to run into a coffee shop, and order a latte without drawing attention to yourself. Mask is not necessary but nice to have something to hide your face in a pinch, hat would be better - ala "The Spirit". Step 5: Know your city inside and out. volunteer to ride along with garbage men of your city. They can show you all the nooks and crannies of a town within a few days. Knowing where you can hide for a few minutes or stash your costume and come get it later is a must. Know where the AA meetings are, where druggies hang out, where bums eat and sleep just to name a few. Step 6: Business cards/calling cards. Better have a great name that's easy to remember, and looks good when someone reads it off the card. Read the dictionary front to back to find a good name. Play with it and make sure it fits what you are trying to accomplish. That's pretty much it. Getting all this should take around 10 years or so, so get started now! Once you 'get a few badguys' then you can worry about working with the cops or staying solo. Remember the legal and moral ramifications of your actions and above all else, come home safe! People have guns so think twice.
Cavalry Scout (19D) is a US Army MOS that specializes in armored reconnaissance, reconnaissance by force, anti-armor, foot patrols and adjusting indirect fire (artillery, mortars). The exact job varies by unit and which corps the unit serves under. Most units will require mastery of several weapons systems and vehicles and will offer supplementary cross-training in combat-first-aid, airborne-assault, NATO weapon systems and navigation. Additionally, scouts are allowed to attend the Army's sniper school, but cannot receive the skill identifier of "sniper". Vehicles in common use by today's Cavalry include: Humvee (on which every scout must be able to perform upkeep and basic repairs and operate mounted weapon systems [M248-B machine gun, TOW missile launcher, M2 .50cal machine gun, Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher]), M3 Bradley fighting vehicle (on which every scout must be trained on all weapons systems [M248-C machine gun, 20mm cannon, TOW missile launcher] as well as driving, loading and stowing of the vehicle and operating the turret). M1126 Stryker (which has a modular weapons system). Additionally, a scout must be able to carry out challenging feats on foot. A scout must be proficient at least with the M16 rifle family, underslung 40mm grenade launcher, tripod mounted TOW missile launcher, AT4 missile launcher and M9 bayonet (being phased out) and may crosstrain on anti-air missile systems, mortars and the newer Javelin missile launcher. Total kit weight on foot may be well over 100 pounds. While dismounted, a scout must be able to improvise a fighting position, serve as a radio operator, navigate from a map, call for artillery fire and report enemy troop movements, numbers and vehicles on the fly. A scout's familiarity with compass, map, azimuth and triangulation is his biggest asset to the unit. Physical and mental demands are the highest of all combat jobs in the US Army, except the Rangers and Special Forces. Many scouts see continuing into the Rangers or Special Forces as a natural progression of their skill-set.
