UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply. CyberPower UPS systems are used as a precautionary measure in case of any power failures around computers. The UPS will provide power for a short period allowing the user to shut down his computer without losing any data.
I don't have much experience with Ibuypower, but I have had experience with Cyberpower and from what I hear my experience with CyberPower isn't too far off from what a lot of people experience with Cyberpower. First, Cyberpower's website is incredibly confusing, but with the help from a more buddy of mine I was able to place an order. Everything went fine in the beginning. I received notifications along the way letting me know what the status was on my computer. Everything went fine until it got to the quality control. I got a call from them letting me know that my graphics card was on backorder and that they wouldn't be able to ship for another two weeks. Now I've already waited almost two weeks and for them to notify me NOW that my order was on backorder especially during the Quality control stage is a bit ridiculous. So I just cancelled the order, I didn't want to find out two weeks later that something else was on back order. So, I had to find somewhere else to get my computer. I did fine another company that a lot of people who have had experiences like mine recommended, Ironside Computers. So I checked them out. It turns out that they had next day PC's that were very similar to what I ordered with Cyberpower with a few differences like the power supply which I was fine with what was included, and it was only a few bucks more then what I paid getting it at Cyberpower. So I decided to place my order, and lo and behold my order was shipped the "next day", coming from an experience with cyberpower I was happily suprised. The computer took another three days for UPS to get it to me, and when I received the computer it was packaged very well and after I setup everything booted up fine. Overall I received an awesome computer in a little less than a week. I'm definitely a happy customer and will be recommending this company to everyone I can.
If its anything like mine there should be a small stick looking switch in the very power, don't confuse it with the actually power cord switch
