Dual-tone multifrequency
A method used by the telephone system to recognise the keys pressed when dialling. Pressing a key on the phone's keypad generates two simultaneous tones, which are decoded by the exchange to determine which key was pressed.

DTMF is the beeps you hear on a regular land-line telephone when you dial a number. When you set it to DTMF long, it transmits the beep for as long as you hold down the button, and when set to short it transmits all of the tones for the same amount of time. It's also how your phone accesses your voicemail, similar to how an automated phone system says "Press 1 to speak with a customer service representative". Anyways, if you have any questions you can email me at ianyikos@gmail.com. Hope I could help!
Use short to make (for instance) navigating voicemail systems as quickly as possible UNLESS you run into a system that won't respond to the short tone - then switch to long. So, use short when you can and fall back to long when you run into a system that won't recognize a short signal.
Yep.
it is not recommended to use your cell phone when charging, this could cause the circuits to short. Ideally you should charge your battery when your phone is turned off
yes
Go to your local phone service store in your town. Ask them if you can get a cell phone card for your cell phone. They should be able to answer your question.
i think that you should be at least over 16 to get a cell phone
Yes. A 12 year old should have a cell phone. They should be mature enough to handle a cell phone. My daughter's are triplets and they are all very responsible about what they do on there phone. I think that 12 year old's should have a phone.
You should be over eighteen yaers old and should have a job so that your can pay for your cell phone.

No.
I think eleven or twelve is a good age for a cell phone.
you should call your cell from your house phone or a friends phone.
