What is Daniel occupation in the bible?

Two occupations come to mind, immediately.

1) He was a "prophet."

He was sent by God to the king of Babylon, to witness and testify before him regarding the "gospel" [good news] of Jesus Christ and the coming Kingdom of God:

"...the God of heaven will set up a Kingdomthat will never be destroyed; no one will ever conquer it. It will shatter all these kingdoms into nothingness, but it will stand forever. That is the meaning of the Rock cut from the Mountain by supernatural means... The Great God has shown Your Majesty what will happen in the future. The dream is True, and its meaning is certain." (Dan.2:44-45 NLT New Living Translation)

2) And as a result of his prophetic interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream [vision]... Daniel's second occupation was "...RULER OVER THE WHOLE PROVINCE OF BABYLON, as well as CHIEF over all... [the king's]... wise men... Daniel remained in the king's court." (Dan.2:48 NLT)

As a result of Daniel's captivity in Babylon, the first world-ruling empire this side of the flood... Daniel's Faith in and obedience to God trained him to qualify in the coming Kingdom of God as one of Christ's "kings, priests and judges" over the Gentile nations.

"To all who are victorious, who obey Me to the very end, I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod... They will have the same authority I received from My Father..." (Rev.2:26-28 NLT)

"...the saints of the Most High shall take the Kingdom, and possess the Kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever." (Dan.7:18 KJV)

"...Judgment was given to the saints of the Most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the Kingdom." (verse 22)

"...'Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." (Matt.25:34 NLT)

"Do ye not know that the saints shall Judge the world? ..." (I Cor.6:2 KJV).

Daniel is one of God's "elect"... whose occupation is and shall be RULER over the nations.
