Dannebrog
According to the myth, the Danish flag (called Dannebrog) fell down from the sky to Valdemar II during the battle of Lyndanisse the 15 June 1219.
Red flag with a white cross
Unfortunately it is not the Danish flag, but a crusader flag. The flag in the Church is not only a flag, it is a Royal or a flag the government use, when there is something to celebrate in the Royal family or visiting from other states. All official buildings use it in that case.
Is small
The oldest flag still used by a nation, is the danish flag Dannebrog.
It is the oldest NATIONAL flag still in use - it is not the oldest flag.
A danish is called a Dane
Old. It's from the beginning of 1200's.
No one knows. It's said that the flag fall down from heaven in a fight in Estonia.
A person from Denmark is called a Dane. They are Danish people. we are in standard english called "danish" or "danes", while we in danish are called "danskere". mesdian Danes or Danish are people native to Denmark.
In English a Danish native is called a dane In Danish a Dansih native is called 'en dansker' (en=a, dansker=dane)
I don't know for sure but it's very similar to the Norwegian flag. We share the same language with only a very little differences. Norway was once a part of Denmark btw. And the Danish flag looks like the Swedish flag, only the colours are different.
