I used to have a wooden bunkbed set when I was kid. That thing lasted forever so I'd recommend that one. My brothers had a wooden bunkbed set...and it's still standing today! (They're 20 We have a wooden bunkbed for our 2 boys-5 and 3 years old- and it's great. Some metal ones are made of very cheap metal and will warp and bend easily. Beware when you are shopping Metal. Preferrably the kind they sell for prisons given my kids' rambunctious nature!
