What are the names of the surahs?

The first Sura of the Qur'an is called "al-Fatiha" (Arabic: الفاتحة , English: "the Opening" or "the Opener"). The second Sura is called "al-Baqara" (Arabic: البقرة , English: "the Cow"). It is called the Sura of the Cow because it references the Biblical story of the Golden Cow.

What scripture explains sex before marriage?

Praise be to Allaah Zina (fornication, adultery) is a serious crime and a major sin which takes away the quality of faith from a person, and exposes him to punishment and humiliation unless he repents. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)" [al-Isra' 17:32] and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No adulterer is a believer at the time when he is committing adultery" Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2475) and Muslim (57). And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If a man commits zina, faith comes out of him and hovers over him like a cloud, then when he stops, faith returns to him." Narrated by Abu Dawood (4960) and al-Tirmidhi (2625); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has told us of the punishment that those who commit zina will receive in their graves before the Hour begins, and that they will be punished with fire. Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1320). Because of the abhorrent nature of this crime, Allaah has decreed that the punishment for it should be stoning to death if the person is married and flogging if he was not married. The one who is faced with any such thing should hasten to repent to Allaah and do a lot of good deeds, in the hope that Allaah will forgive him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And those who invoke not any other ilaah (god) along with Allaah, nor kill such person as Allaah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse ___ and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. 69. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 70. Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allaah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allaah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful" [al-Furqaan 25:68-70] "And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death)" [Ta-Ha 20:82] They must also conceal themselves with the concealment of Allaah, and not tell anyone about that, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Avoid these filthy things that Allaah has forbidden. Whoever has done any of them, let him conceal himself with the concealment of Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted." Narrated by al-Bayhaqi and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, no. 663. Islam Q&A Source: http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/96460/

What does Islam says about fornication?

Fornication is the wrost of all sins Allah (SWT)'s order in the Quran to stay away from Zina. "And those who invoke not any other god along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse (zina) and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; except those who repent and believe and do righteous deeds, for those Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful." (al-Furqaan #25, ayat #68-70) "And come not near to unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a faahishah (a great sin) and an evil way." (Sura Al-Israa # 17 ayah # 32)

Married woman seeing another man.what punishment will she have to receives in Islam.?

The Islamic Ruling Concerning the Criminal Act of Zina[Adultery & Fornication]All praise is due to Allah, the One who said: " And do not come near to the unlawful sexual intercourse…"(1) And peace and blessings of Allah be upon His slave and Messenger Muhammad, who said: "When a person commits zina, Imaan (faith) leaves him, until it is like a cloud over his head…"(2) Undoubtedly, all Muslims have some knowledge of the prohibition of Adultery and fornication, however we are living in a western society whereby this crime has become widespread and commonly accepted. This acceptable crime has even crept into some of the Muslim homes, to the extent we find those who are proud to see their son entering the house with a girl accompanying them. This article will define what is considered as adultery and fornication in Islam, its punishment, marriage to one who commits it, repentance, and how to protect yourself from it.In today's English, the word used for a married person who engages in unlawful sexual intercourse is adultery; the single person who engages in sexual intercourse is fornication. Unlike English, Arabic has only one word for both cases - zina. Throughout the history of the religions, zina has been prohibited, however its prohibition is more emphatic and forceful, and is regarded as one of the gravest sins of all the major sins in Islam. Over fourteen hundred years ago, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) prophesied that from amongst the signs of the Day of Judgement is the prevalence of illegal sexual intercourse.(3) Imaam Adh-Dhahabi in his book 'The Major Sins', placed zina as the tenth major sin out of the seventy mentioned by him. However, we see in the following hadiths that zina is more likely ranked as the second major sin in Islam. The Prophet (s.a.w) said: "There is no sin after shirk (polytheism) greater in the eyes of Allah than a drop of semen which a man places in the womb which is not lawful for him."(4) Thus we find that zina was mentioned after the two grave sins of shirk and murder. A person has committed zina if they voluntarily and deliberately perform sexual intercourse with other than one's spouse. The act of zina has taken place when the full insertion of a male's sexual organ has been inserted inside a female's vagina, regardless of the number of times or whether contraception was used, such as a condom or separator between the couples organs.Proving zinaA person is convicted of zina by any one or more of the following ways: The first one is that the zaani (fornicator or adulterer) makes a confession, without going back on their word until they are awarded the punishment. If at some stage they retract their confession, they must not be subjected to any penal punishment. The second way a person can be convicted of zinais by four reliable and pious men testifying that they witnessed the sexual act. Each man must testify that he actually saw the male sexual organ inserted into the female's vagina. This stringent condition is to protect innocent Muslims and to block the road for those who want evil to spread amongst the Muslim society. As for the third way a person may be convicted of adultery, this is when a woman who has neither husband nor master is found pregnant.Punishment for zina in this lifeThere are definite penal punishments known as hadd or hudood (plural) which have been mentioned in the Qur'an and the Sunnah concerning those who engage in the criminal act. The following conditions must be fulfilled before the hadd is applied: 1. The offender must be sane; 2. They must be Muslim; 3. They have reached the age of puberty; 4. They must be free and not a slave. The Qur'anic injunctions with regards to those commit zina were revealed gradually, that is, bit by bit. The wisdom behind this was to make these injunctions easily acceptable to the new converts of Islam who were deeply engaged in zinaduring the days of Jaahiliyah (ignorance). The first revelation concerning the punishment of zina was that a woman guilty of zina was to be confined to their home until she died(5). The second revelation covered both men and women and was a little specific regarding punishment(6). Allah (s.w.t) then revealed: "The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day…"(7) The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) clarified this injunction by saying: "Take from me; Allah has made a decree for them. A virgin (committing zina) with a virgin: one hundred lashes (for each) and exiling for year (for the man). And a married (committing zina) with a married: one hundred lashes and stoning."(8)Difference of opinion exists among Muslim jurists concerning the combining of both stoning and lashing. The correct opinion (and Allah knows best) is that which the majority of the scholars have agreed to, and that is, the one who is to be punished by stoning should not be lashed. This is what has been mentioned by the two caliphs 'Umar and 'Uthman; Ibn Mas 'ud also holds the same view. Hence an unmarried person guilty of fornication is to be lashed one hundred times according to the above verse in addition to banishment for one year in the case of a man. There are also different opinions regarding the exiling of women. Those who hold the opinion that a woman should not be exiled argue that a woman is weaker than a man, and that she needs protection that may not be available for her if she is banished. Those who favor banishment base their opinion on the Prophet's general wording of the hadith, which does not exclude women from being exiled. The penal punishment of a married adulterer under Islamic jurisdiction is by stoning to death, as per the preceding hadith and other hadiths. Ibn Mus 'ud (r.a) reported that Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: "The blood of a Muslim, who testifies that there is no (true) god except Allah and that I am Allah's Messenger, does not become permissible except for one of three acts: a married person who commits zina, one soul for another (killed) soul, and a man who abandons his deen(religion) and departs from the Jamaa 'ah (of Muslims)."(9) The Prophet (s.a.w) applied stoning to a number of people during his time. Maa 'iz bin Maalik is one of them as per the hadith collected by Bukhari, Muslim and others; another person stoned to death was the woman from the Ghamid tribe who came to the Prophet (s.a.w) demanding him to purify her from her sin.(10)Know that punishment for the crime of zina acts an atonement of this sin. The Prophet (s.a.w) said regarding the woman from Ghamid who was stoned to death: "She has repented such a repentance that, were it to be divided among seventy of Madina's residents it would cover them. Have you seen a better repentance than her giving away herself for Allah."(11) The idea behind the harsh and severe punishment does not contradict with the spirit of Islam, actually it serves as a deterrent to the society. It protects a person's family, lineage, and spread of moral decadence and diseases in society. When people realise the graveness of the sin, and that its punishment is most humiliating and painful, very few of them would dare to approach it.Punishment of zina in the hereafterThe punishment of those who die without repenting from zina begins in their grave. In a long hadith, Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) related a dream in which he saw two men accompanying him (Jibreel and Maalik), showing him how a number of sinners were being punished in al-Barzakh (life between death and Judgement day). The Prophet (s.a.w) said: "…We proceeded until we came across a hole in the ground that resembled a baking pit, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. Babbling and voices were issuing from it. We looked in and saw naked men and women. Underneath the pit was a raging fire; whenever it flared up, the men and women screamed and rose with it until they almost fell out of the pit. As it subsided, they returned (to the bottom). I said: 'Who are these?' They said: '…As for the naked men and women who were in the pit, they are men and women who indulge in zina…"(12) In a similar narration Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: "We moved on until I saw people who were awfully swollen, and had the most foul stench, their stench was like that of the sewers. I asked: 'Who are these?' They replied: 'Those are the male and female adulterers.'"(13) As for punishment in the hereafter, Allah Most High says: "And they (i.e. the servants of Allah) do not commit zina - And whoever does this shall meet a full penalty. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace."(14)Marriage to a person guilty of zinaAs for marriage between two who are guilty of zina, then this is permissible as per what Allah (s.w.t) has said: "The adulterer marries not but an adulteress or a Mushrikah, and the adulteress, none marries her except an adulterer or a Mushrik."(15) There is difference of opinion amongst the scholars with regards to a chaste man marrying an adulteress who has not repented or vice versa. Some of them said that is not lawful; this is the opinion of Ali, Al-Baraa', 'Aisha, and ibn Mas 'ud, (may Allah (s.w.t) be pleased with them all). The majority of the scholars including Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and ibn 'Abbaas, (may Allah (s.w.t) be pleased with them all) on the other hand permitted the marriage, adding however, that marriage to a chaste and pure person was more virtuous.RepentanceOne might think that the only way a person guilty of zinacan be forgiven is by being awarded the penal punishment (hadd). The scholars have said that a person who commits a sin should repent between himself and Allah (s.w.t). The repentance should be sincere, and the guilty person should perform lots of acts of worship and righteous actions. Furthermore, the person should feel remorse, and have no intention of ever committing the sin again. The repentance will not be accepted if it is done during the pangs of death, as Allah Most High says: "And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and says: 'Now I repent'…."(16) The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) informed us in the hadith collected by Muslim: "Whoever repents, before the sun rises from it's setting (i.e. the west), Allah will forgive him." This means the repentance of the one who repentance after this, will be of no avail.Protection against zinaThere are many ways a Muslim can protect them self from zina. From amongst the most important of means is remembering Allah. Know that the one who is away from the remembrance of Allah will be weak and is susceptible to the attacks of Satan. The one who does not speak from his own desire (s.a.w) said: "And I command you to remember Allah. The parable of this is like a man whose enemies were running after him and about to catch him. He then entered a well-fortified fortress and saved himself from them. This is the like of a servant (of Allah), he cannot save himself from Satan except by remembering Allah."(17)There are many actions a Muslim can do to protect themselves from zina. Salaat, both obligatory and supererogatory is one of the strongest fortresses against zina. Allah (s.w.t) said: "…and establish prayer, indeed prayer prevents from depravity and wrongdoing…."(18) Regular fasting is another way of suppressing the sexual desire, as Allah's Apostle (s.a.w) prescribed it for the young people who cannot afford marriage. Another way to keep away from zina is by reminding yourself of how you would abhor and dislike it for your mother, daughter, sister, and aunt; this was how the Prophet (s.a.w) put it to a man who came seeking permission for zina. Remember that Satan watches and waits for you to be distanced from your Muslim brethren, then he makes his attack. And so from amongst the things that will deter you from zina, is to always be in the company of the righteous, those people that will remind you of Allah (s.w.t). The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said in the hadith collected by Abu Dawud in his Sunan, "…indeed the wolf devours the lone sheep." Also, remember that when a believer refrains from committing a sin, his reward increases in proportion with the temptation that he faces. Remember that saying "No" to someone who invites you to commit zina will secure you a place of shelter under the shade of Allah's throne on the Day when their will be no shelter except His.(19) Abu Hurayrah (r.a) reported that Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: "Whoever Allah protects from the evil of what is between his jaws (i.e. his tongue) and the evil of what is between his legs (i.e. his private parts), he will enter Jannah (Paradise).(20)We ask Allah Most High to protect us from the evil of zina, accept our righteous actions, and shower us from His bounties in this life and in the Hereafter. And Allah knows best.Bilal Dannoun1- Al-Israa, 17: 322- Abu Dawud - authentic according to Albaani3- see hadith Anas in Saheeh Bukhari4- Saheeh Bukhari5- An-Nisaa, 4: 156- An-Nisaa, 4: 167- An-Noor, 24: 28- Saheeh Bukhari9- Saheeh Bukhari & Saheeh Muslim10- Saheeh Muslim, Abu Dawud & others11- See Sahih Muslim & Abu Dawud12- Saheeh Bukhari13- Ibn Khuzaymah & Ibn Hibbaan - authentic according to Albaani14- Al-Furqaan, 25: 68-6915- An-Noor, 24: 316- An-Nisaa, 4: 1817- Tirmidhi & An-Nasai - authentic according to Albaani18- Al-'Ankaboot, 29: 4519- see Bukhari & Muslim20- Tirmidhi - authentic according to AlbaaniSource: http://www.trosch.org/moh/sharia-law.HTMLhttp://www.missionislam.com/knowledge/ruling%20zina.htm

Quran pak main kun kun se sipare main ayat-e-sajda hain?

There are fifteen verses of prostration in the Quran.1 - "Surely those who are with your Lord (angels) are never too proud to perform acts of worship to Him, but they glorify His Praise and prostrate before Him." [al-A'raaf 7:206]2 - "And unto Allaah (Alone) falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons." [al-Ra'd 13:15]3 - "And to Allaah prostrate all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, of the live moving creatures and the angels, and they are not proud [i.e., they worship their Lord (Allaah) with humility]." [al-Nahl 16:49]4 - "Say (O Muhammad): 'Believe in it (the Qur'aan) or do not believe (in it). Verily! Those who were given knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration." [al-Isra' 17:107]5 - "… When the Verses of the Most Beneficent (Allaah) were recited unto them, they fell down prostrating and weeping." [Maryam 19:58]6 - "See you not that to Allaah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is one the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and al-dawaab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and many of mankind? But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allaah disgraces, none can honour him. Verily! Allaah does what He wills." [al-Hajj 22:18]7 - "O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful." [al-Hajj 22:77] (Prostration for this verse is disputed due to a lack of sunnah evidence)8 - "And when it is said to them: 'Prostrate to the Most Beneficent (Allaah)!' They say, 'And what is the Most Beneficent? Shall we fall down in prostration to that which you (O Muhammad) command us?' And it increases in them only aversion." [al-Furqaan 25:60]9 - "[As Shaytaan has barred them from Allaah's Way] so that they do not worship (prostrate before) Allaah, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you reveal." [al-Naml 27:25]10 - "Only those believe in Our aayaat (verses, signs, etc.) who, when they are reminded of them fall down prostrate, and glorify the Praises of their Lord, and they are not proud." [al-Sajdah 32:15]11 - "… And Dawood guessed that We had tried him and he sought forgiveness of his Lord, and he fell down prostrate and turned (to Allaah) in repentance." [Saad 38:24]12 - "And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Him Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." [Fussilat 41:37]13 - "So fall down in prostration to Allaah, and worship Him (Alone)." [al-Najm 53:62]14 - "And when the Qur'aan is recited to them, they fall not prostrate." [al-Inshiqaaq 84:21]15 - "… Fall prostrate and draw near to Allaah!" [al-'Alaq 96:19]

Why is it false the claim that Quran is human text written by Muhammad?

Answer AProphet Muhammad (PBUH) couldn't have written the Quran because he couldn't read or write, In addition: The holy Quran predicted many events to take place ahead of the time of the revelation of that verse; for example, predicting the destruction of Persian empire in less than 10 years, at a time where the later had a monumental victory over Rome. If the prophet, as some people claim, has written the Quran, then he would not have put his future in real jeopardy (50% chance). The holy Quran included statements describing scientific phenomena that were only possible to be proved by the current state of art of knowledge and science. The prophet also has demonstrated many supernatural miracles not by his own power, but by the power of the creator. He went to Jerusalem and back in one night and gave a detailed description of the carnival that was traveling on that route and also specific accident happened to them at that night (in those days, it takes a month or so for a round-trip). In another occasion, he provided water for an entire army from a small plate between his hands. There is full chapter in Quran under name of Maryam (Mary) while no other single woman is mentioned by name in Quran. Non of the women of Prophet Muhammad family (mother, daughters, wives, ...) is mentioned or honored in Quran. Maryam (or Mary) was honored in Quran and described as he lady of all ladies in all worlds and times.Answer B Possibly for the same reason Christ did not write the New Testament. It was left for his followers to do that. During the time of both of these men records could only be kept by writing them down. Important events in peoples lives were recorded by most families. To record the words of men like Muhammad and Christ who's messages was new to all who heard them was important enough to be recorded for posterity. Hint on Answer B aboveThe text of New Testament was written long time after end of life of Jesus (peace be upon him). It is different case for Quran. The revelation of Quran by God to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Angel Gabriel was started in year 610 AD and was completed by year 632. Through these 22 year period it was fully memorized by many of Muslims, documented and revised by many, and it was recited in the mosque by prophet Muhammad during the daily five prayers without single letter change. Many Muslims since then until now are memorizing Quran fully without single letter difference. Answer CMany critics allege that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself was not the author of the Qur'an but he learnt it and/or plagiarised (copied or adapted) it from other human sources or from previous scriptures or revelations. Let us review these clams before and reply to it: 1. MUHUMMAD LEARNT THE QUR'AN FROM A ROMAN BLACKSMITH WHO WAS A CHRISTIANSome Pagans accused the Prophet of learning the Qur'an from a Roman Blacksmith, who was a Christian staying at the outskirts of Makkah. The Prophet very often used to go and watch him do his work. A revelation of the Qur'an was sufficient to dismiss this charge - the Qur'an says in Surah An-Nahl chapter 16 verse 103:"We know indeed that they say, 'It is a man that teaches him,' The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear."[Al-Qur'an 16:103]How could a person whose mother tongue was foreign and could hardly speak little but of poor broken Arabic be the source of the Qur'an which is pure, eloquent, fine Arabic? To believe that the blacksmith taught the Prophet the Qur'an is some what similar to believing that a Chinese immigrant to England, who did not know proper English, taught Shakespeare.2. MUHUMMAD (PBUH) LEARNT FROM WARAQA - THE RELATIVE OF KHADIJAH (RA)Muhummad's (pbuh) contacts with the Jewish and Christian Scholars were very limited. The most prominent Christian known to him was an old blind man called Waraqa ibn-Naufal who was a relative of the Prophet's first wife Khadijah (r.a.). Although of Arab descent, he was a convert to Christianity and was very well versed with the New Testament. The Prophet only met him twice, first when Waraqa was worshipping at the Kaaba (before the Prophetic Mission) and he kissed the Prophet's forehead affectionately; the second occasion was when the Prophet went to meet Waraqa after receiving the first revelation. Waraqa died three years later and the revelation continued for about 23 years. It is ridiculous to assume that Waraqa was the source of the contents of the Qur'an.3. PROPHET'S RELIGIOUS DISCUSSIONS WITH THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANSIt is true that the Prophet did have religious discussions with the Jews and Christians but they took place in Madinah more than 13 years after the revelation of the Qur'an had started. The allegation that these Jews and Christians were the source is perverse, since in these discussions Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was performing the roles of a teacher and of a preacher while inviting them to embrace Islam and pointing out that they had deviated from their true teachings of Monotheism. Several of these Jews and Christians later embraced Islam.4. THE PROPHET LEARNT THE QUR'AN FROM THOSE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS THAT HE MET OUTSIDE ARABIAAll historical records available show that Muhummad (pbuh) had made only three trips outside Makkah before his Prophethood, they are:At the age of 9 he accompanied his mother to Madinah.Between the age of 9 and 12, he accompanied his uncle Abu-Talib on a business trip to Syria. At the age of 25 he led Khadija's Caravan to Syria. It is highly imaginary to assume that the Qur'an resulted from the occasional chats and meetings with the Christians or Jews from any of the above three trips.5. LOGICAL GROUNDS TO PROVE THAT THE PROPHET DID NOT LEARN THE QUR'AN FROM JEWS OR CHRISTIANSThe day-to-day life of the Prophet was an open book for all to see. In fact a revelation came asking people to give the Prophet (pbuh) privacy in his own home. If the Prophet had been meeting people who told him what to say as a revelation from God, this would not have been hidden for very long. The extremely prominent Quraish nobles who followed the Prophet and accepted Islam were wise and intelligent men who would have easily noticed anything suspicious about the way in which the Prophet brought the revelations to them - more so since the Prophetic mission lasted 23 years. The enemies of the Prophet kept a close watch on him in order to find proof for their claim that he was a liar - they could not point out even a single instance when the Prophet may have had a secret rendezvous with particular Jews and Christians. It is inconceivable that any human author of the Qur'an would have accepted a situation in which he received no credit whatsoever for originating the Qur'an.Thus, historically and logically it cannot be established that there was a human source for the Qur'an.6. MUHUMMAD (PBUH) WAS AN ILLITERATEThe theory that Muhummad (pbuh) authored the Qur'an or copied from other sources can be disproved by the single historical fact that he was illiterate.Allah testifies Himself in the Qur'an, In Surah Al-Ankabut chapter no.29 verse 48"And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted." [Al-Qur'an 29:48]Allah (swt) knew that many would doubt the authenticity of the Qur'an and would ascribe it to Prophet Muhummad (pbuh). Therefore Allah in His Divine Wisdom chose the last and final Messenger to be an 'Ummi', i.e. unlettered, so that the talkers of vanity would not then have the slightest justification to doubt the Prophet. The accusation of his enemies that he had copied the Qur'an from other sources and rehashed it all in a beautiful language might have carried some weight, but even this flimsy pretence has been deprived to the unbeliever and the cynic. Allah reconfirms in the Qur'an in Surah Al A'raf chapter 7 verse 157:"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel"The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet (pbuh) is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12. "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned." [Isaiah 29:12]The Qur'an testifies in no less than four different places that the Prophet (pbuh) was illiterate. It is also mentioned in Surah A'raf chapter 7 verse 158 and in Surah Al-Jumu'a chapter 62 verse 2.7. ARABIC VERSION OF THE BIBLE WAS NOT PRESENTThe Arabic version of the Bible was not present at the time of Prophet Muhummad (pbuh). The earliest Arabic version of the Old Testament is that of R. Saadias Gaon of 900 C.E. - more than 250 years after the death of our beloved Prophet. The oldest Arabic version of the new Testament was published by Erpenius in 1616 C.E. - about a thousand years after the demise of our Prophet.8. SIMILARITIES IN THE QUR'AN AND THE BIBLE DUE TO COMMON SOURCESimilarities between the Qur'an and the Bible does not necessarily mean that the former has been copied from the latter. In fact it gives evidence that both of them are based on a common third source; all divine revelations came from the same source - the one universal God. No matter what human changes were introduced into some of these Judeo-Christian and other older religious scriptures that had distorted their originality, there are some areas that have remained free from distortion and thus are common to many religions. It is true that there are some similar parallels between the Qur'an and the Bible but this is not sufficient to accuse Muhummad (pbuh) of compiling or copying from the Bible. The same logic would then also be applicable to teachings of Christianity and Judaism and thus one could wrongly claim that Jesus (pbuh) was not a genuine Prophet (God forbid) and that he simply copied from the Old Testament. The similarities between the two signify a common source that is one true God and the continuation of the basic message of monotheism and not that the later prophets have plagiarised from the previous prophets. If someone copies during an examination he will surely not write in the answer sheet that he has copied from his neighbour or Mr. XYZ. Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) gave due respect and credit to all the previous prophets (pbut). The Qur'an also mentions the various revelations given by Almighty God to different prophets.9. MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN THE TAURAH, ZABOOR, INJEEL AND QUR'ANFour revelations of Allah (swt) are mentioned by name in the Qur'an: the Taurah, the Zaboor, the Injeel and the Qur'an.Taurah, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Moosa (a. s.) i.e. Moses (pbuh).Zaboor, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Dawood (a.s.) i.e. David (pbuh).Injeel, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Isa (A.S.) ie. Jesus (pbuh).'Al-Qur'an', the last and final Wahi i.e. revelation given to the last and final Messenger Muhammad (pbuh). It is an article of faith for every Muslim to believe in all the Prophets of God and all revelations of God. However, the present day Bible has the first five books of the Old Testament attributed to Moses and the Psalms attributed to David. Moreover the New Testament or the four Gospels of the New Testament are not the Taurah, the Zaboor or the Injeel, which the Qur'an refers to. These books of the present day Bible may partly contain the word of God but these books are certainly not the exact, accurate and complete revelations given to the prophets. The Qur'an presents all the different prophets of Allah as belonging to one single brotherhood; all had a similar prophetic mission and the same basic message. Because of this, the fundamental teachings of the major faiths cannot be contradictory, even if there has been a considerable passage of time between the different prophetic missions, because the source of these missions was one: Almighty God, Allah. This is why the Qur'an says that the differences which exist between various religions are not the responsibility of the prophets, but of the followers of these prophets who forgot part of what they had been taught, and furthermore, misinterpreted and changed the scriptures. The Qur'an cannot therefore be seen as a scripture which competes with the teachings of Moses, Jesus and the other prophets. On the contrary, it confirms, completes and perfects the messages that they brought to their people.Another name for the Qur'an is the 'The Furqan' which means the criteria to judge the right from the wrong, and it is on the basis of the Qur'an that we can decipher which part of the previous scriptures can be considered to be the word of God.10. SCIENTIFIC COMPARISON BETWEEN QUR'AN AND BIBLEIf you glance through the Bible and the Qur'an you may find several points which appear to be exactly the same in both of them, but when you analyse them closely, you realise that there is a difference of 'chalk and cheese' between them. Only based on historical details it is difficult for someone who is neither conversant with Christianity or Islam to come to a firm decision as to which of the scriptures is true; however if you verify the relevant passages of both the scriptures against scientific knowledge, you will yourself realize the truth.Creation of the Universe in Six DaysAs per the Bible, in the first book of Genesis in Chapter One, the universe was created in six days and each day is defined as a twenty-four hours period. Even though the Qur'an mentions that the universe was created in six 'Ayyaams', 'Ayyaam' is the plural of years; this word has two meanings: firstly, it means a standard twenty-four hours period i.e. a day, and secondly, it also means stage, period or epoch which is a very long period of time. When the Qur'an mentions that the universe was created in six 'Ayyaams', it refers to the creation of the heavens and the earth in six long periods or epochs; scientists have no objection to this statement. The creation of the universe has taken billions of years, which proves false or contradicts the concept of the Bible which states that the creation of the Universe took six days of twenty-four hour durations each.Sun Created After the DayThe Bible says in chapter 1, verses 3-5, of Genesis that the phenomenon of day and night was created on the first day of creation of the Universe by God. The light circulating in the universe is the result of a complex reaction in the stars; these stars were created according to the Bible (Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 to 19) on the fourth day. It is illogical to mention the result that is the light (the phenomenon of day and night) was created on the first day of Creation when the cause or source of the light was created three days later. Moreover the existence of evening and morning as elements of a single day is only conceivable after the creation of the earth and its rotation around the sun. In contrast with the contents of the Bible on this issue, the Qur'an does not give any unscientific sequence of Creation. Hence it is absolutely absurd to say that Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) copied the passages pertaining to the creation of the universe from the Bible but missed out this illogical and fantastic sequence of the Bible.Creation of the Sun, The Earth and the MoonAccording to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 9 to 13, the earth was created on the third day, and as per verses 14 to 19, the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day. The earth and the moon emanated, as we know, from their original star, the Sun. Hence to place the creation of the sun and the moon after the creation of the earth is contrary to the established idea about the formation of the solar system.Vegetation Created on the third day and Sun on the fourth dayAccording to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13, vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as has been stated in the Bible? If Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) was indeed the author of the Qur'an and had copied its contents from the Bible, how did he manage to avoid the factual errors that the Bible contains? The Qur'an does not contain any statements which are incompatible with scientific facts. The Sun and the Moon both Emit lightAccording to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night".Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. This confirms the Qur'anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400 years ago, Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and then copied such corrected passages in the Qur'an is to think of something impossible.11. ADAM (PBUH), THE FIRST MAN ON EARTH, LIVED 5,800 YEARS AGOAs per the genealogy of Jesus Christ given in the Bible, from Jesus through Abraham (pbuh) to the first man on earth i.e. Adam (pbuh), Adam appeared on the earth approximately 5800 years ago:1948 years between Adam (pbuh) and Abraham (pbuh)Approximately 1800 years between Abraham (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh)2000 years from Jesus (pbuh) till todayThese figures are further confused by the fact that the Jewish calendar is currently on or about 5800 years old. There is sufficient evidence from archaeological and anthropological sources to suggest that the first human being on earth was present tens of thousands of years ago and not merely 5,800 years ago as is suggested by the Bible. The Qur'an too speaks about Adam (pbuh) as the first man on earth but it does not suggest any date or period of his life on earth, unlike the Bible - what the Bible says in this regard is totally incompatible with science.12. NOAH (PBUH) AND THE FLOODThe Biblical description of the flood in Genesis chapter 6, 7 and 8 indicates that the deluge was universal and it destroyed every living thing on earth, except those present with Noah (pbuh) in the ark. The description suggests that the event took place 1656 years after the creation of Adam (pbuh) or 292 years before the birth of Abraham, at a time when Noah (pbuh) was 600 years old. Thus the flood may have occurred in the 21st or 22nd Century B.C.This story of the flood, as given in the Bible, contradicts scientific evidence from archaeological sources which indicate that the eleventh dynasty in Egypt and the third dynasty in Babylonia were in existence without any break in civilization and in a manner totally unaffected by any major calamity which may have occurred in the 21st century B.C. This contradicts the Biblical story that the whole world had been immersed in the flood water. In contrast to this, the Qur'anic presentation of the story of Noah and the flood does not conflict with scientific evidence or archaeological data; firstly, the Qur'an does not indicate any specific date or year of the occurrence of that event, and secondly, according to the Qur'an the flood was not a universal phenomenon which destroyed complete life on earth. In fact the Qur'an specifically mentions that the flood was a localized event only involving the people of Noah.It is illogical to assume that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had borrowed the story of the flood from the Bible and corrected the mistakes before mentioning it in the Qur'an.13. MOSES (PBUH) AND PHARAOH OF THE EXODUSThe story of Moses (pbuh) and the Pharaoh of the Exodus are very much identical in the Qur'an and the Bible. Both scriptures agree that the Pharaoh drowned when he tried to pursue Moses (pbuh) and led the Israelis across a stretch of water that they crossed. The Qur'an gives an additional piece of information in Surah Yunus chapter 10 verse 92:"This day shall We save thee in thy body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! But verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!"[Al-Qur'an 10:92]Dr. Maurice Bucaille, after a thorough research proved that although Rameses II was known to have persecuted the Israelites as per the Bible, he actually died while Moses (pbuh) was taking refuge in Median. Rameses II's son Merneptah who succeeded him as Pharaoh drowned during the exodus. In 1898, the mummified body of Merneptah was found in the valley of Kings in Egypt. In 1975, Dr. Maurice Bucaille with other doctors received permission to examine the Mummy of Merneptah, the findings of which proved that Merneptah probably died from drowning or a violent shock which immediately preceeded the moment of drowning. Thus the Qur'anic verse that we shall save his body as a sign, has been fulfilled by the Pharaohs' body being kept at the Royal Mummies room in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. This verse of the Qur'an compelled Dr. Maurice Bucaille, who was a Christian then, to study the Qur'an. He later wrote a book 'The Bible, the Qur'an and Science', and confessed that the author of the Qur'an can be no one else besides God Himself. Thus he embraced Islam.14. QUR'AN IS A BOOK FROM ALLAHThese evidences are sufficient to conclude that the Qur'an was not copied from the Bible, but that the Qur'an is the Furqaan - 'the Criteria' to judge right from wrong and it should be used to decipher which portion of the Bible may be considered as the Word of God.The Qur'an itself testifies in Surah Sajda chapter 32 verse 1 to 3Alif Laam Meem.(This is) the revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt - from the Lord of the Worlds.Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance."[Al-Qur'an 32:1-3]7. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARY AND MIRIAMQuestionIt is mentioned in your Qur'an that Mary was the sister of Aaron (pbuh). Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who wrote the Qur'an did not know the difference between Miriam the sister of Aaron (pbuh) and Mary the Mother of Jesus (pbuh), the time span between both of them was about a thousand years.Answer1. IN THE SEMITIC LANGUAGES SISTER ALSO MEANS DESCENDANTThe Qur'an mentions in Surah Maryam, Chapter 19 verses 27-28"At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: 'O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!'"[Al-Qur'an 19:27-28]Christian missionaries say that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did not know the difference between Mary the mother of Jesus (pbuh) and Miriam the sister of Aaron (pbuh). The time span between both was more than a thousand years. In the Arabic construction of the sentence, sister is also considered as a descendant. Thus, when the people said to Mary, Ukhta Haroon i.e. 'sister of Aaron' it actually means descendant of Aaron (pbuh).2. SON ALSO MEANS DESCENDANTIt is mentioned in the Gospel of Mathew, Chapter 1 verse 1"Jesus Christ, the son of David,....".[Mathew 1:1]Gospel of Luke Chapter 3, verse 23"And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, ....."[Luke 3:23]DID JESUS (PBUH) HAVE TWO FATHERS?The explanation of the phrase that Jesus (pbuh) was the son of David (pbuh), is that Jesus (pbuh) was a descendant of David (pbuh). 'Son', here means a descendant.8. JESUS (PBUH) DID NOT DIEQuestionIs it not true that your Qur'an mentions in Surah Maryam, Chapter 19 verse 33 that Jesus (pbuh) died and was resurrected?AnswerJESUS (PBUH) SAID, "THE DAY THAT I DIE", NOT "THE DAY THAT I DIED"It is mentioned in Surah Maryam, Chapter 19 verse 33"So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die and the Day that I shall be raised up to life (again)".[Al-Qur'an 19:33]The Qur'an mentions that Jesus (pbuh) said "Peace is on me the Day I was born, the day that I die". It is not stated "the day that I died". It is in the future tense and not in the past tense.1. JESUS (PBUH) WAS RAISED UP ALIVEThe Qur'an further says in Surah Nisa, Chapter 4 verse 157-158:"That they said (in boast), 'We killed Jesus Christ the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah' - But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not -Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is exalted in Power, Wise."[Al-Qur'an 4:157-158]9. JESUS IS "A WORD" OF ALLAH AND A "SPIRIT" FROM ALLAHQuestionDoes not your Qur'an mention that Jesus is Kalimatullah -"The Word of Allah (swt)", as well as Ruhullah - "The Spirit of Allah", indicating his Divinity?Answer1. JESUS (PBUH) "IS A WORD FROM ALLAH" NOT "THE WORD OF ALLAH"The Qur'an mentions in Surah Ali 'Imran Chapter 3 verse 45"Behold! The angels said: O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus. The son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those Nearest to Allah.[Al-Qur'an 3:45]Jesus (pbuh) is referred in the Qur'an as a word from Allah and not as 'the word of Allah'."A word" of Allah means a message of Allah. If a person is referred to as "a word" from Allah, it means that he is a Messenger or a Prophet of Allah.2.THE TITLE OF A PROPHET (PBUH) DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT EXCLUSIVELY BELONGS TO THAT PROPHET (PBUH)Different titles are given to different prophets (pbut). Whenever a title is given to a prophet (pbuh), it does not necessarily mean that the other prophets do not have the same characteristic or quality. For e.g. Prophet Abraham (pbuh) is referred to in the Qur'an as Khaleelullah, a friend of Allah. This does not indicate that all the other Prophets (pbuh) were not the friends of Allah. Prophet Moses (pbuh) is referred to in the Qur'an as Kaleemullah, indicating that God spoke to him. This does not mean that God did not speak to others. Similarly when Jesus (pbuh) is referred to in the Qur'an as Kalimatullah, "a word from Allah", it does not mean that the other Prophets were not "the word," of Allah.3. JOHN THE BAPTIST (PBUH) IS ALSO CALLED "A WORD" OF ALLAHYahya (pbuh) i.e. John the Baptist (pbuh) is also referred to in the Qur'an as Kalimatullah i.e. a word of Allah in Surah Ali 'Imran, Chapter 3, verses 38-39"There did Zakariya Pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! Grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure: for Thou art He that heareth prayer! While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a Prophet - of the (goodly) company of the righteous."[Al-Qur'an 3:39]4. JESUS (PBUH) REFERRED AS RUHULLAH - A SPIRIT OF ALLAHJesus (pbuh) also never referred to as Ruhullah "a spirit of Allah" but as a spirit from Allah in Surah Nisa Chapter 4 verse 171"O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Jesus Christ the son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah, And His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not 'Trinity': desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One God: glory be to Him: (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs."[Al-Qur'an 4:171]5. SPIRIT OF ALLAH IS BREATHED IN EVERY HUMAN BEINGA spirit from Allah does not indicate that Jesus (pbuh) is God. The Qur'an mentions in several places that Allah breathed into the human beings "His Spirit" in Surah Al-Hijr, chapter 15 verse 29 in Surah Sajdah, chapter 32 verse 9Surah Al Hijr Chapter 15 verse 29"When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."[Al-Qur'an 15:29]Surah Sajdah Chapter 32 verse 9"But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!"[Al-Qur'an 32:9]10. IS NOT THE QUR'AN WRITTEN BY SATAN?QuestionThe Qur'an is not the Word of God but on the contrary the handiwork of Satan.AnswerIn reply to a similar allegation put forward by the pagans of Makkah, that the prophet (pbuh) received the revelations from Satan, the following verses were revealed:Surah Waqiah, chapter 56 verses 77-80"That this is indeedA Qur'an most honourable,In a Book well-guarded,Which none shall touchBut those who are clean:A Revelation from the LordOf the Worlds."Kitabim Maknoon means a book well guarded or a protected book, referring to Lauh-e-Mahfooz in the heaven, which none shall touch except the Mutahhareen. i.e. those who do not have any uncleanliness or impurity or evil like sin. This refers to the angels. The Satan is absolutely prohobited. Thus since it is impossible for Satan to come anywhere close to it or touch it, the question of him writing the verses of the Glorious Qur'an does not arise. It is further mentioned in Surah Shura, chapter 26 verse 210-212"No evil ones have broughtDown this (Revelation):It would neither suit themNor would they be able (To produce it).Indeed they have been removedFar from even (a chance of)Hearing it."Many people have a wrong concept of Satan. They think that Satan can probably do everything, except a couple of things that God can do. According to them, Satan is slightly below God in power. Since the people do not want to accept that the Qur'an is a miraculous revelation, they say that it is Satan's handiwork. If Satan would have written the Qur'an, he would not have mentioned in the same Qur'an in Surah Nahl, chapter 16 verse no. 98"When thou does readThe Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from Satan the Rejected One."Is this how you feel Satan would write a book? Does he tell you; "Before you read my book ask God to save you from me?"There are several verses in the Qur'an which will give enough evidence that Satan is not the author of the Qur'an.In Surah Al Aaraf chapter 7 verse 200"If a suggestion from Satan assail your (mind),seek refuge with Allah; for He hears and knows(all things). Why would Satan tell his followers, that whenever he gives any suggestions to them, they should seek refuge in Allah (swt) to whom he is an avowed enemy. In Surah Baqarah, chapter 2 verse 168"O ye people!Eat of what is on earth, lawful and good;and do not follow the footsteps of the Evil one,For he is to you an avowed enemy."In Surah Yasin, chapter 36 verse 60"Did I not enjoin on you,O ye children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan;for that he was to you an enemy avowed?"Satan is intelligent, no wonder that he can put this idea into the minds of people that he himself wrote the Qur'an. Compared to Almighty God, Satan is insignificant, and Allah (swt) is far more intelligent. He knows Satan's evil intentions and hence no wonder that He has given the reader of the Qur'an several proofs to show that Qur'an is God's word, and not Satan's word. The Bible mentions in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 3, verses 24-26"And if a kingdom be divided against itself, thatkingdom cannot stand.""And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.""And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end."

Is the Quran the true word of God?

Yes, Quran reflects real God word revelation to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the angel Gabriel and in its original revelation language (Arabic) without a single letter change or alterations. Ii is preserved unchanged since its revelation. It is the only book in the world that is memorized fully by heart by millions of Muslims allover the world. It is recited daily by all world Muslims five times a day during praying and is recited as on its own ritual worship. Refer to question below.Additional informationWhen Muhammad encountered Gabriel, and Gabriel delivered the first words of God to Muhammad, the words being recited were unlike anything anyone had heard before. This was in fulfilment of two prophecies: Moses said: "And God will put His words in his mouth" and Jesus said: "And he will not speak from himself; but whatsoever he hears from the Father, that shall he speak". When Muhammad recited the words of the Qur'an - every time more were revealed to him - the people of his city, Mecca, were amazed. They had no idea how this man could speak words more beautiful than any poetry, more powerful and moving than the speech of any orator. In the Qur'an, God posed a challenge to people: "If you think this book is from anyone other than the Lord of the Universe, then make even one chapter like it".Recited in Arabic the Qur'an is like a beautiful melody that moves people to tears. It is an explanation of all things. It clarifies where the Jews and Christians have made mistakes in their religious beliefs. It explains with full detail the purpose of creation and what we will all encounter on the Day of Judgment. And it mentions things about the Universe, the Earth, and human biology that have only been confirmed by science in the last century. The Qur'an is the literal Word of God - placed into Muhammad's mouth.Additional Hint It is understandable that any non Muslim (Christian, Jewish, Atheist, ...) will claim that Quran is not true word of God otherwise they would have believed in the Quran and believe in prophet Muhammad as God prophet and consequently believe in Islam and convert to be Muslims. One of those non Muslims say that : "My idea is that the Koran is a kind of cocktail of texts that were not all understood even at the time of Muhammad. Many of them may even be a hundred years older than Islam itself. Even within the Islamic traditions there is a huge body of contradictory information, including a significant Christian substrate; one can derive a whole Islamic anti-history from them if one wants. The Qur'an claims for itself that it is 'mubeen,' or clear, but if you look at it, you will notice that every fifth sentence or so simply doesn't make sense. Many Muslims will tell you otherwise, of course, but the fact is that a fifth of the Qur'anic text is just incomprehensible. This is what has caused the traditional anxiety regarding translation. If the Qur'an is not comprehensible, if it can't even be understood in Arabic, then it's not translatable into any language. That is why Muslims are afraid. Since the Qur'an claims repeatedly to be clear but is not-there is an obvious and serious contradiction. Something else must be going on."To those, I say that why no one asking is the Bible or the Torah a true God word. Sure no one (Muslim or non Muslim) because Muslims believe that both Torah and the Bible are God holy books (although the current texts are altered and modified). I call all who want to know the truth to read about Quran Scientific miracles and to read about the rabbis, priests, scients, and many others who converted to Islam to know on what basis they converted to Islam and why they got convinced about the Quran authenticity. Only after that, they can answer whether Quran is true words of God or not.Proofs on why Quran is true word of God Quran is true word of God with the same language of God revelation. Quran is God revelations to Prophet Mohamed (peace upon him). These revelations of Quran by God to Prophet Mohamed was through the Angel Gabriel and started in year 610 AD when prophet Mohamed was in Mecca (Makkah) and was by then 40 years old. The revelations continued since then and was completed by year 632 AD (year of death of the prophet). The long period for full revelation of the Quran (around 22 years) allowed the Quran to be fully memorized and documented by many Muslims. It was recited in the mosque by prophet Mohamed during the daily five prayers without single letter change. Many Muslims since then until now are memorizing Quran fully without single letter difference. This explains why Quran remains by God will, and will remain by God will, without single letter change. For those who are seeking the truth and are interested in the proofs behind Quran revelation by God and that Quran is not a human written text, they can refer to the related question below and the related link for more details. However, it is enough to highlight few issues as follow:1. Some historians claim that prophet Muhammad wrote the Quran by himself. Arguments against this claim are:Prophet Muhammad was an illiterate man who had no formal education in any science, language, religious or secular.Quran speaks about a variety of branches of science like: Astronomy, Embryology, Hydrology, Geology, Sociology, Psychology, Oceanography, Law etc. including lots of scientific statements that were validated only recently and were not known in the time of the prophet. It was not known about prophet Muhammad any scholarly tendencies or achievements until the age of forty (when he received the first verses of Quran). So, how this illiterate man suddenly brings about a book like the Quran including an ideological and religious revolution that changed history? Why prophet Muhammad (peace be on him), if he authored the Quran, honor the virgin Mary (May Allah be pleased with her), the mother of Jesus (peace be on him) as the best woman over all women on earth over all ages until day of judgment (an honor that even not offered by the bible) while not mentioning his own family members with a single word and even not mentioning any name of them.?If he had authored the Quran, why he didn't claim this authorship of Quran and consequently gaining higher prestige among his followers who may consider him as a God.Why he mentioned Quran verses that reprimand him (as that of chapter 33, verse 37 and chapter 80 verses 1-3) if he wrote Quran by himself?.2. Some others claim that Prophet Muhammad copied the Quran from the Bible. Arguments against this claim are:No Arabic version of the Bible was available at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him). The oldest Arabic version of the New Testament was published by Erpenius in 1616 AD (about one thousand years after Quran start of revelation)Quran included correct scientific information on some incidents that are scientifically incorrect in the bible (e.g. sun was created after the creation of earth Genesis 1:9-19 and vegetation was created before the Sun-Genesis 1:11-13, 14-19). had prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) copied the information from the Bible and corrected the mistakes before mentioning it in the Quran? In addition, Quran includes lots of other scientific statements, that currently proven as correct, and not mentioned in the Bible. How so many Jews and Christians, including many who were were scholars in their religion, converted to Islam if there was doubt that Prophet Muhammad was copying from their scriptures? If Quran has some preachings or tales that are similar to that in the Bible, then this is because all holy books came from a single source (God).3. Some others claim that a person or group of persons taught Muhammad (peace be on him) on how to write the Quran. Arguments against this claim are:If this is true, then why not discovered a single teacher of them in the time of the prophet.Quran was revealed over 23 years and not at once. Is it logic that that someone or more taught prophet Muhammad over a period of without being known.Sometimes Quran revelations occurred in the presence of the people and they witnessed how the prophet receives the Quran revelation. Why the teacher, who taught Quran to the prophet, didn't claim it and its credit to himself?Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) was surrounded by his companions all the time and every minute detail of his life was recorded. How could Muhammad (peace be on him) make frequent secret visits to that mysterious teacher or teachers for 23 years without being caught even once? How could so many Jews and Christians convert to Islam [some of them were scholars in their religion] if Muhammad (peace be on him) was learning from their priests or rabbis?Other proofsIt is the true word of God as is proved in the following lines. Proofs and Evidences that Quran is from Allah (swt):1. Quran says it is from Allah:The revelation of the Book (Quran) is from the Lord of the worlds (21:2)2. Challenges:The Quran gave a challenge to the whole world that if they are so competent they should bring another Quran in the following verse: Produce a Quran like it (17:88)But so far no one has been able to put up another Quran. Then Quran lowered the challenge respectively and even then no one put forward his/her version of Quran Produce 10 Suras like it (11:13)Produce One Sura like it (10:38)Produce One Sura somewhat comparable to it (2:23)Thus is means that it is a Divine word that no human has been able to produce a Quran.3. No Contradictions:Also, Quran is free from any contradictions and this is a proof that it is not coming from a human but from God himself."Don't they ponder over the Quran, had it been from anyone besides Allah, they would surely have found therein many contradictions (4:82)4. No crookedness:An Arabic Quran without any crookedness...(39:28)5. Prophecies fulfilled:Many of the prophesies in Quran have been fulfilled. And it is not possible for a person to see so much further into the future to make that exact a prophecy. Thus it means that it is from God.Victory of Rome over Persia (30:2-4)Allah makes superpower of those Muslims who believe and do good works (24:55)Islam will prevail over all other religions (48:28)6. Answer to every questionEvery time they come to you with an argument, We bring you the truth andthe best of explanations. (Qur'an, 25:33)7. Solution to every problemO mankind! there hath come to you a direction (QURAN) from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy.[Quran, 10:57]8.
