God's word consists of dependable utterances that are 'alive', active (Hebrews 4:12)and designed to accomplish a purpose (Isaiah 40:8 + 55:10-11; 1Peter 1:25).

They were written down (Exodus 31:18 +34:28 / Deuteronomy 4:13 / 5:22) (Josiah 24:26; Jeremiah 36:32), eventually collected together in the Holy Scriptures, (2Timothy 3:16; 2Peter 1:20+21)which then became spoken of as "God's Word", God's law, regulations, judicial decisions, reminders, commandments, statutes, orders, and sayings of God(James 1:22 / 1Peter 2:2)(Psalm 119).
