(Matthew 4:3)"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."
(Luke 4:3)"And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread."
By Saying "Man does live by bread alone, but, by every Word from the Mouth Of God."

don't listen to the first answer...Jesus is god...because Satan was stupid enough to think he could tempt the almighty god......it never really says exactly why in the bible..i guess if you accept Jesus as your saviour and then go to heaven you can ask him. god bless you!
Matthew 4:1 is the first recorded time in the Bible, right after Jesus was baptized. I would guess that Satan tempted Jesus before, many times during His life, because he knew that if he could get Jesus to sin then Jesus would not be able to be a perfect sinless sacrifice, that would be able to save us from our sin.
it was first used when the baptism of Jesus has begun.
It is in the book of Genesis , when Satan tempted Eve in the garden of Eden.

A:We have two very different explanations as to how Jesus met Peter and Andrew, depending on whether we follow the synoptic gospels or John's Gospel. In the synoptic gospels, Jesus went into the wilderness immediately after his baptism and was tempted by Satan. Just after his temptation in the wilderness (Mark 1:16), Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee when he saw two brothers, Simon and Andrew, fishing. He called to them and said he would make them fishers of men, and straightaway they discarded their nets and followed him.John's Gospel retains some of the original, including the fact that Andrew and Peter were brothers and that they were the first to be called, but makes two significant changes. It omits the story of the temptation in the wilderness, allowing Jesus to return a day after his baptism to John the Baptist, who was standing with two of his disciples, one of whom was Andrew. On John's instructions, the two followed Jesus. Andrew then went and brought his brother, Simon, to follow Jesus. Jesus accepted his new recruit, saying of him, that he would be called Cephas (Peter).

Yes. There are two other ways to go to heaven. Baptism of Desire and Baptism of Blood. The first way is the Baptism of desire. Baptism of desire is when someone is sorry for their sins and cooperates with God's grace by trying to please him as best they know how to. The next way is the Baptism of blood. Baptism of blood is when someone gives up their life in martyrdom to Jesus. This shows that they have faith in Jesus and were saved by him.
