Why doe lady Capulet want Juliet to marry Paris?

Because Paris was married already, but his wife died, so Lady Capulet knows that he has experience with marriage and that he is going to be a good husband. That was just made up; it doesn't say anything in the text about Paris having been married before. The reason the Capulets are pushing for a marriage with Paris is that he is nobility-a "county"-whereas although they are rich (they "have the chinks") they are not noble. Capulet in the play is just "Capulet" not "Lord Capulet" as many people want to call him. They are a strictly middle-class outfit.

What do the nurse and Lady Capulet talk to Juliet about at the beginning of scene 3?

Why does lady Capulet like Juliet?

Capulet is normally a loving father and is quite prepared to consider the feelings of the daughter he loves. But not when it's going to make him look a fool in front of the noble County Paris!

Why does Lord Capulet become so enrage with Juliet?

What did Capulet tell Paris?

Totally different things in Act 1 and Act 3. In Act 1 he says the Juliet is too young and that Paris should wait until she is 16. In Act 3 he says, "Hot Dang! Let's go for it! I'm sure Juliet will be happy to go along with this."

Why do Juliet parent invite Paris to their party?

Because Her parents want Juliet to marry him. For his good looks, money, and he is related to the prince. Paris asked Capulet for permission to marry his daughter, but he thinks she too young and to give her two years to mature. Lady Capulet asked Juliet if she wants to marry Paris but she says she doesn't dream of getting married but she will look at him and try to like him, if what she sees id likable, but shes not going to make herself like him.

After lady Capulet breaks the news about Paris what is juliets response?

she tells lady Capulet that she will not marry Paris she will marry romeoLady Capulet calls to her daughter. Juliet wonders why her mother would come to speak to her so early in the morning. Unaware that her daughter is married to Romeo, Lady Capulet enters the room and mistakes Juliet's tears as continued grief for Tybalt. Lady Capulet tells Juliet of her deep desire to see "the villain Romeo" dead (3.5.80). In a complicated bit of punning every bit as impressive as the sexual punning of Mercutio and Romeo, Juliet leads her mother to believe that she also wishes Romeo's death, when in fact she is firmly stating her love for him. Lady Capulet tells Juliet about Capulet's plan for her to marry Paris on Thursday, explaining that he wishes to make her happy. Juliet is appalled. She rejects the match, saying "I will not marry yet; and when I do, I swear / It shall be Romeo-whom you know I hate- / Rather than Paris" (3.5.121-123). Capulet enters the chamber. When he learns of Juliet's determination to defy him he becomes enraged and threatens to disown Juliet if she refuses to obey him. When Juliet entreats her mother to intercede, her mother denies her help. After Capulet and Lady Capulet storm away, Juliet asks her nurse how she might escape her predicament. The Nurse advises her to go through with the marriage to Paris-he is a better match, she says, and Romeo is as good as dead anyhow. Though disgusted by her nurse's disloyalty, Juliet pretends to agree, and tells her nurse that she is going to make confession at Friar Lawrence's. Juliet hurries to the friar, vowing that she will never again trust the Nurse's counsel. If the friar is unable to help her, Juliet comments to herself, she still has the power to take her own life.

Why is Tybalt so hot tempered?

Capulet loses his temper because Juliet will not go along with his plan to marry her to Paris

What Is Capulets Reaction To Julian threats?

Juliet makes no threats. She has two lines and only two when her father is in the room with her. Juliet: Not proud you have, but thankful that you have; Proud can I never be of what I hate, But thankful even for hate, that is meant love. Juliet: Good father, I beseech you on my knees, Hear me with patience but to speak a word. Since when is it a threat to say "I'm begging you on my knees; let me speak"? Far from threatening, Juliet is contrite. She cannot marry Paris without committing bigamy, but she couches her refusal to marry him in as polite terms as she can, saying that she thanks him for making the arrangements for a marriage, knowing that it was done from love for her, but that she cannot be proud to be Paris's wife because she hates him and won't marry him. It is Capulet and only Capulet who threatens in this scene, and he is very rough with Juliet (in many productions physically so): Capulet: An you be mine, I'll give you to my friend; An you be not, hang beg, starve, die in the streets, For by my soul I'll ne'er acknowledge thee, Nor what is mine shall never do thee good. Trust to't, bethink you: I'll not be forsworn The key to his outrageous behaviour is in the last line: he has promised Paris that Juliet will marry him, has sworn it, and how can he now go back to Paris and welsh on that promise? He'd look a right chump. His pride can't accept it: he would rather beat up on Juliet than be shamed in front of Paris. Check out Damian Lewis's performance as Capulet in this scene (from the 2013 movie): it's brilliant.

What does Capulet do to romeo for going to the party?

Nothing. He's cool with it.

What effect might capulets change of plans have on the friars arrangments?

Friar Lawrence had a schedule set up whereby Juliet would take the potion Wednesday night and wake up 42 hours later for Romeo to come and get her, sometime Friday night. Presumably he sent Friar John with that message. But when Capulet set the wedding for Wednesday morning, Juliet had to take the potion on Tuesday night, a day earlier. So it didn't matter that Friar John's message did not get through because Romeo would have come a day too late anyway. However, for some reason, the friar does not seem to be worried that Romeo is not going to be warned to come Thursday to get Juliet.
