Any recommendations for getting rid of acne?

Well theres a lot you can do. But only a few things will actually work, depending on the skin type. If you have very oily skin like me, the best way to manage acne is to apply a good cleanser. Most cleansers contain benzyol peroxide, but I find that too much of this ingredient can really dry out your skin. The line that I use is from Kiehls and I find that their pore removing cleanser works really well. It's made from amazonian clay which helps your skin look smooth while getting rid of any acne. Of course like most products, your acne will not disppear like magic. It will take some time. Other than the cleanser, just make sure to apply a oil controlling toner and a pore reducing lotion (can also be found at your local Kiehls store or high end department store). Clay masks also work very well. Any acne spot treatment serum is highly recommended as a last step to this skin care process. These are the obvious steps in maintaining good skin, but there are other ways you can take care of your acne. The following things do not have to be used everyday and do not have to be part of your daily skin care routine: 1) skin peeling gel (works to get rid of any dead skin cells so that your pores aren't clogged) optional: use exfoilating battery operated scrubber with it 2) green tea leaves or the actual tea itself (apply on face with a cotton ball and leave on for 5 mins). 3) plain yogurt with honey (only for acne scars but can help you have a smooth complextion) 4) steaming the face (place face over steaming water for about a minute and then try applying your favorite mask. The pores will be open because of the steam and it will soak up the minerals from the mask alot faster). 5) Astrigent (use as supplement for a toner) You should also try to visit a skin care clinic and do the acne skin facial once in a while because they can take out any oils from the surface. This will in turn speed up the acne removal process. Plus, facials always leave your skin looking alot more fresh. However If you have a severe case of acne, one that is skin deep, there are alternatives to achieving clear skin. If this is the case, feel free to ask me questions.
