Newfoundland and Labrador is the official name of the most eastly province of Canada. The island portion of the province is Newfoundland which represents the largest population of the province and has it's provincial government located in St. John's. The Labrador portion of the province is located on mainland Canada, to the East of the province of Quebec and sharing a large border with Quebec in Labrador West and a large and beautiful coastline of the North Atlantic on the East. Labrador is often called The Big Land because of its great size and seemingly endless horizons. At its Northernmost tip it is just East of the island of Greenland.
