The Lion King (the first movie in the series) is basically about a lion prince's ascension into his rightful role as the "Lion King". Mufasa, who at the time is the current lion king, tells his brother Scar about his new born son. Scar is mad because he wants to be king, but he cannot for as long as Mufasa and his son is alive. Scar then kills Mufasa by means of stampeding wildebeests and makes Mufasa's cub (whose name is Simba) think that he, himself caused his father's death. He felt bad and is told to run away by Scar to avoid a harsh punishment of death. This is only a trick by Scar to have Simba killed though. He manages to not be killed and is found by two other animals; a warthog and a meerkat whose names are Timon(meerkat) and Pumbaa(warthog). Then there are things he learns like how to catch grub(bugs and critters) to survive and a song. Then his lioness friend, Nala, finds him and tells him to come back cause he is the rightful king and their homeland is trashed by Scar and his minions. The ending consists of Simba fighting his uncle Scar, and though almost being killed, he manges to avenge his father's death by ultimately killing Scar and getting rid of his minions. Their homeland, in turn, goes back to being peaceful.

It all begins in lion king 1 when Mufasa and Sarabi the king and Queen of the pride lands have a son and they name

him Simba. Scar Mufasas brother has always wanted to be King so when Simba is born he is pushed further away from

achieing his dream so him and the hyenas plan to kill them both but they only kill Mufasa and Scar lets Simba think

It was his fault and Scar says to him "Simba, Run, Run away and never Return!" Scar takes over the Pridelands.

So Simba runs and Scar sends the Hyenas chasing after him to make sure he leaves the Pride Lands.

He runs out into the desert and he is founf lying in the sun by Timon a Meerkat and Pumba a warthog and they save Simba

and they end up becoming very good friends and Simba grows up with them and His childhood friend Nala a cub lionesss

has also grown up and she goes searching for help becasue when Scar took over the Pridelands he wrecked it and there

was no more food or water left and when she was searching for help she bumped into Simba and they don't recognise each other

so they start to fight and then they recognise each other and Nala tells Simba about Scar and reminds him that he is supposed

to be king and that everyone in the Pridelands thinks he is dead and so Nala, Simba, Timon and Pumba returns to Pridelands and

Simba and his pride find out that Scar killed Mufasa becasue they all got told Simba done it so the lionesses and Simba start to fight

against Scar and the Hyenas and Simba and the Lionesses win so Simba becomes King of the Pridelands.

Then in Lion King 2 Nala and Simba have a daughter and call her Ciara.

Ciara goes off exploring and she bumps into Kovu Zeras son who is an outsider and an enemy of Simbas and they become good friends but

Simba does not like this but Zera gets Kovu and Ciara to be friends so she can get back into the pridelands and kill Simba so when he

and Ciara have grown up Zera gets her children to start a fire well Ciara is out on a hunt and she gets Kovu to go and save her from the

fire and ask if he can join Simbas pride and Simba refuses but Nala says "Simba you owe him your daughters life!"

So Simba lets him join his pride but is not happy with it.

After a while Kovu and Ciara get to know each other and Kovu falls in love with Ciara so he doesnt want to be

part of Zeras plot.

so he plans to tell Ciara but Simba wants to talk to Kovu so they go for a walk and talk and all of a sudden Simba

and Kovu are surrounded by Zera and her Lionesses and she tells Simba about her plot and he is dissapoined in Kovu and

Kovu tells Simba that he no longer has anyhting to do with it and they all attack Simba but Kovu fights for Simba.

Simba returns to the Pridelands hours later injured and tells ciara about kovu and she doesnt understand cos she loved him.

when Kovu returns to the Pridelands he is told to leave and Ciara gets upset so she runs away and she finds Kovu and

Kovu says they shoukd run away together but Ciara tells him that theyre home is in the Pridelands. meanwhile Zera and her

Lionesses and Simba and his Pride are fighting and Kovu and Ciara return to the Pridelands and they stop the fight and

she says to Simba her dad "Look at them, look at us what difference do you see, they are us!"

and Zeras lionesses walk over and join Simbas pride and Zera says "Fine if you wont fight then you will die aswell!"

And they all join Simbas pride and then Zera says "This is for you Scar!

Zera pounces on Ciara and they go rolling down a cliff and then after a fight between the two Zera is hanginf off a cliff

about to fall into the fast flowing river and Ciara says "Zera give me your paw i will help you!"

But Zera just hangs there and eventually Zera falls and Ciara climbs up the cliff and her dad hugs her and they all

cheer for her and Simba says to Kovu "I was wrong about you" and then Simba says Lets go home all of us.

So they all go back to Pride Rock even Zeras Lionesses which are now part of the pride.

Here are all the songs from The Lion King:

Circle of Life:

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]

Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

Nants ingonyama bagithi baba

Sithi uhhmm ingonyama

Ingonyama

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]

Ingonyama

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

[Chant repeats]

From the day we arrive on the planet

And blinking, step into the sun

There's more to see than can ever be seen

More to do than can ever be done

There's far too much to take in here

More to find than can ever be found

But the sun rolling high

Through the sapphire sky

Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the Circle of Life

And it moves us all

Through despair and hope

Through faith and love

Till we find our place

On the path unwinding

In the Circle

The Circle of Life

It's the Circle of Life

And it moves us all

Through despair and hope

Through faith and love

Till we find our place

On the path unwinding

In the Circle

The Circle of Life

The Morning Report: (only in the 2003 Special Edition version)

Chimps are going ape, giraffes remain above it all

Elephants remember, though just what I can't recall

Crocodiles are snapping up fresh offers from the banks

Showed interest in my nest egg but I quickly said, "No thanks!"

We haven't paid the hornbills and the vultures have a hunch

Not everyone invited will be coming back for lunch

This is the morning report

Gives you the long and the short

Every grunt, roar, and snort

Not a tale I distort

On the morning report

What are you doing, son?

Pouncing.

Let an old pro show you how it's done.

The buffalo have got a beef

About this season's grass

Warthogs have been thwarted

In attempts to save their gas

Flamingoes in the pink and

Chasing secretary birds

Saffron is this season's color

Seen in all the herds

Moving down the rank and file

To near the bottom rung

Far too many beetles are

Quite frankly in the dung

Awk!

This is the morning report

Gives you the long and the short

Every grunt, roar, and snort

Not a tale I distort

On the morning report

I Just Can't Wait to be King:

I'm gonna be a mighty king

So enemies beware!

Well, I've never seen a king of beasts

With quite so little hair

I'm gonna be the mane event

Like no king was before

I'm brushing up on looking down

I'm working on my ROAR

Thus far, a rather uninspiring thing

Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

(You've rather a long way to go, young master, if you think...)

No one saying do this

(Now when I said that, I -)

No one saying be there

(What I meant was...)

No one saying stop that

(Look, what you don't realize...)

No one saying see here

(Now see here!)

Free to run around all day

(Well, that's definitely out...)

Free to do it all my way!

I think it's time that you and I

Arranged a heart to heart

Kings don't need advice

From little hornbills for a start

If this is where the monarchy is headed

Count me out!

Out of service, out of Africa

I wouldn't hang about

This child is getting wildly out of wing

Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

Everybody look left

Everybody look right

Everywhere you look I'm

Standing in the spotlight!

(Not yet!)

Let every creature go for broke and sing

Let's hear it in the herd and on the wing

It's gonna be King Simba's finest fling

Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

Oh, I just can't waaaaaait ... to be king!

Be Prepared:

I know that your powers of retention

Are as wet as a warthog's backside

But thick as you are, pay attention

My words are a matter of pride

It's clear from your vacant expressions

The lights are not all on upstairs

But we're talking kings and successions

Even you can't be caught unawares

So prepare for a chance of a lifetime

Be prepared for sensational news

A shining new era

Is tiptoeing nearer

And where do we feature?

Just listen to teacher

I know it sounds sordid

But you'll be rewarded

When at last I am given my dues

And injustice deliciously squared

Be prepared!

It's great that we'll soon be connected

With a king who'll be all-time adored

Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected

To take certain duties on board

The future is littered with prizes

And though I'm the main addressee

The point that I must emphasize is

You won't get a sniff without me!

So prepare for the coup of the century

(Oooh!)

Be prepared for the murkiest scam

(Oooh... La! La! La!)

Meticulous planning

(We'll have food!)

Tenacity spanning

(Lots of food)

Decades of denial

(We repeat)

Is simply why I'll

(Endless meat)

Be king undisputed

(Aaaaaaah...)

Respected, saluted

(...aaaaaaah...)

And seen for the wonder I am

(...aaaaaaah!)

Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared

(Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo)

Be prepared!

Yes, our teeth and ambitions are bared -

Be prepared!

Hakuna Matata:

Hakuna Matata!

What a wonderful phrase

Hakuna Matata!

Ain't no passing craze

It means no worries

For the rest of your days

It's our problem-free philosophy

Hakuna Matata!

Why, when he was a young warthog...

When I was a young wart hoooog!

Very nice.

Thanks!

He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal

He could clear the Savannah after every meal

I'm a sensitive soul, though I seem thick-skinned

And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind

And oh, the shame

(He was ashamed!)

Thoughta changin' my name

(Oh, what's in a name?)

And I got downhearted

(How did you feel?)

Ev'rytime that I...

Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!

Oh... sorry.

Hakuna Matata!

What a wonderful phrase

Hakuna Matata!

Ain't no passing craze

It means no worries

For the rest of your days

Yeah, sing it, kid!

It's our problem-free

philosophy...

Hakuna Matata!

Hakuna matata

[Repeats]

It means no worries

For the rest of your days.

It's our problem-free philosophy

Hakuna Matata

[Repeats to fade]

Can You Feel the Love Tonight:

I can see what's happening

(What?)

And they don't have a clue

(Who?)

They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line

Our trio's down to two.

(Oh.)

The sweet caress of twilight

There's magic everywhere

And with all this romantic atmosphere

Disaster's in the air

Can you feel the love tonight?

The peace the evening brings

The world, for once, in perfect harmony

With all its living things

So many things to tell her

But how to make her see

The truth about my past? Impossible!

She'd turn away from me

He's holding back, he's hiding

But what, I can't decide

Why won't he be the king I know he is

The king I see inside?

Can you feel the love tonight?

The peace the evening brings

The world, for once, in perfect harmony

With all its living things

Can you feel the love tonight?

You needn't look too far

Stealing through the night's uncertainties

Love is where they are

And if he falls in love tonight

It can be assumed

His carefree days with us are history

In short, our pal is doomed

The song Be Prepared is supposed to be the bad guy or villain song for the movie. It is sung by Scar who wants to take control of the forest from his brother Mufasa. The song tells about how things will be once Scar is in control.
