It is a beautifull place. With such places Santa Monica, Culver City, Beveley Hills, And of course Hollywood. It is a safe place with some gang crime in certain areas. The weather warm and sunny. It is a large place spread over a wide area. Many Hollywood stars are dotted all over California and loads in Los Angeles. Well, from a person who actually lives in Los Angeles, I have to say that it is the worst place I have ever been to. First of all, the beauty as this other person has put it is completely wrong. There are no stars in the sky at night, for the sky is almost orange with all the lights. Drunk people and criminals stagger around the area, making you feel unsafe and in danger. The 'stars' that are here are usually barely seen, only in limosines or crowded by people, so that if you want to meet a celebrity, that dream will never come. Everything is unfairly expensive. It is terribly hot all year round, with absolutely no rain at all, so the ground is usually parched and cracked, if there is any ground in sight. Usually there is cement, cement, cement. No trees, no grass. I moved here when I was a little girl from the sweet state of Mississippi, so naturally I hated it. People make many mistakes coming here with dreams of becoming a movie star, but trust me, you'll never get a chance to show your true gift. I'm sorry I have told you this, but it is the truth.
