Myspace roleplayers create profiles using pictures of other people. They usually edit their pictures using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. They tend to change pictures and names frequently. They also add other roleplayers to their friends list and exchange messages and comments with them. They're often compared to fakes, people who use other people's pictures and claim to be them, but the difference is that they usually don't pretend to be the person in the photo.

After hearing this mindF**k of an answer, Demise who must have been under some type of illusion, inflicted in battle, somehow could break the forth wall and know he was a character. Whether it was a illusion or not, he was a bit angered by this answer given. The average looking man was in sight. Would it be morally wrong to assault a man for being misinformed? He figured that this was most likely just an illusion being cast on him by a greater evil. But he would not mortally wound, just inform in a most violent manner. Demise Avalon was six-foot eight. He had long black hair with purple streaks that seemed to stand still in this realm. His purple optics stared coldly at the man. His face was clear, pale, to most women he talked to, attractive. He had a white robe that overlapped a black Kendo gi and hakama. Though right now it was serious and even angry in expression. He had two weapons on him, though this was less than he usually carried into battle. One was a large over-sized blade at his back. It would be overkill if he used this weapon though.

Instead, his right hand went to the katana that was tucked into his white cloth belt. From the black sheath it was drawn. A blade of diamond expertly crafted from Demise's abilities to manipulate diamond. Though it was extremely sharp, he was not going to try to destroy the man. He flipped it to its dull side. This was to be used in a similar was as a nightstick. A wind like aura surrounded him before he went for his move. A quick bursting sound like cannon was fired was heard as he sped to his target. Stopping in front of the man, he swung the dull side of the blade towards the mans torso, to knock the wind out of him. Demise began to speak.

"Myspace role playing is where people log onto the internet to escape similar to a video game. We make posts and starters back and forth of our characters, usually in myspace groups. Anime fans are the most common and naruto and bleach genres are most common, next to custom made characters such as myself. We do photoshop anime pics but that is more like something to do when were bored or have nothing to post to or don't feel like doing so, its usually for our character or a friends character for a gift. But the main part of role playing are the role plays themselves. Several groups and clans and wars fault. All things in the role-play are created from our posts. Depending on the goal of the rp, most commonly battle, if your the last person standing (or another stipulation such as time limit) then the other person wins. There are also rules in Myspace roleplaying to make it fair, so no one tries to automatically control weather or send meteors or go at mach speeds at will. There could be more to explain but that is the basics."

The best way to describe Myspace Roleplaying is to say that it is a form of "interactive storytelling." One uses photos of celebrities and occassionally regular people, or even themselves, to portray an original character created by the player or a character from a movie, television series, book, comic book, manga novel.
