The eagle's left foot holds a sheaf of arrows. A shield with red and white stripes is on the breast of the eagle. The eagle holds a scroll in its beak with the words "E Pluribus Unum" on it. Below the eagle is another scroll that says "North Dakota". Over the eagle's head is 13 stars and a sunburst.
