we have had problems starting our car which turned out to be a transponder fault but it flashed up engine immobilizer on the dash. the part cost about £6 but it cost £90 to have the problem diagnosed on the computer at the citroen garage!
to let you know it's on. or to let you know there's a fault! Get a garage to hook up engine management diagnostic equipment to download the fault codes.
This is a known fault that can happen on early model picassos (before end 2002) and can be caused by a faulty ignition switch. See explanation here : http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/lofiversion/index.php?t9002.html And more detailed information in the following FAQ: http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/index.php?showtopic=8846&st=20
Had the same prob for a couple of weeks. in the end i just waggled the wire loom under the front passenger seat and also tilted the seat backwards and forwards a couple of times. I think the prob. maybe in the side airbag. Good luck!
Oil pressure is low. Check oil level and condition (is the oil black and thin? If so, change oil and filter) If this doesn't fix it, the engine might be badly worn or the oil pump may have a fault. Have your local garage take a look.
start by checking the wires for the bootlid, they are known to fail. Pull away the rubbersleeve between body and bootlid and check all the wires.
antipoliation fault citroen c5 2.0 hdi
It's for the emissions (anti pollution) tester. will come on if there is a problem/fault with the exhaust/filter etc etc. So basically-an environment factor! Hope this helps! A

Still trying to find out myself! Have had intermittant problems with this for a year.....was advised that the glowplugs required changed, had this done then light came on again after a week. Have had it in a Citroen garage four times for this and all they do is reset something and tell me its fine now - until the next time it comes on. Have also been told on a different forum that it is acually a fault with the engine doagnostic computer and its incorrectly sensing a fault which is actually to do with the clutch position. Good luck, sorry I couldn't be any more help.
it means you need a new coil pack
