Pennsylvania is called "The Key Stone State" because during the time of the 13 colonies Pennsylvania brought the colonies together. Which brought the sates together if it wasn't for Pennsylvania the would be NO United States instead there would be 50 different countries.

So just like in a bridge a key stone keeps the bridge from collapsing and brings

the rocks together, Pennsylvania did the same for the colonies.

What is the state stone of Pennsylvania?

keystone=================A different answerPennsylvania is known as known as the Keystone State, but that is due to its physical position in the middle of the 13 colonies as well as its key position in the political and socioeconomic development of the country. A keystone is not a kind of stone, but is a structural wedge placed at the top of an arch to hold the arch in place. That being said, the State of Pennsylvania has not selected an official rock, mineral or gem - so there is no state stone of Pennsylvania.
