I have a Ryobi BC30 Brush Cutter and the manual calls for a 2 cycle engine oil for air cooled engine TCW @ 50 to 1 ratio or 2.6 oz per gallon. States do not use TCW3 for water cooled engine or automotive type oil. Hope this helps. O fern
20w/50 is what comes with the 4-cycle string trimmer. While Home Depot is the sole distributor of Ryobi tools, they do not have the oil in Montgomery, AL
no
You have to much oil in your fuel/oil mix
50-1 on 2cycle engines
if 4-cycle-Use Valvoline 10W-30 oil if 2-cycle-use ryobi or any other brand of 2-cycle oil
It should be fine. Might smoke a little.
If the Ryobi is a 2 stroke engine you must use 2 stroke oil and never use 4 stroke. But you ask about 20w50 oil which is confusing. 2 cycle engine do not use multi-vicosity oil. Any 2 cycle oil can be used in your Ryobi if it is mixed at the correct ratio.
50:1 Oil to gas ratio
The Gas/Oil ratio is 50:1
1 gal gas + 2cycle engine oil
25:1 (gasoline:2cycle oil)
2.6 ounces of oil to one gallon of unleaded gasoline.
