How do you remove gel from nails?

Soak them in acetone nail-polish remover! It works for many but fails for some! NEW ANSWER: Actually most gels will not soak off in acetone as they are Non-Porous. They need to be buffed off. I recommend seeking a professional. Whatever you do, do not let anybody pry or force them off your nails. This can cause severe damage to the natural nail plate. If you have nail polish around your nails how do you take it off without ruining your manicure and without nail polish removal?

No.

How do you remove no chip nail polish?

First you want to make sure you have what's called a No Chip Manicure. A No Chip Manicure is a gel base that is applied to the natural nail bed (you can add extensions). An actual No Chip Manicure is NOT acrylic and it does not require a drill to remove. There are several no chip manicure products available on the market (Bio Sculpture Gel, OPI Axxium. Shellac, Gelous etc). The majority of them require that you remove the top gel (sealant gel) by buffing off the sealant gel with a file. Take a peice of cotton (not the entire cotton ball) and dip into 100% acetone (not nail polish remover there is a difference). Then take a small peice of aluminum foil and wrap your fingers with the cotton soaked in acetone. You can add a hot towel or heating pad on top of your hands to speed up the process. Wait 10-15 minutes and then remove the No Chip Manicure with orange wood stick. Shellac on the other hand only require that you just wrapped the nails in the cotton and acetone without removing the top gel. Pretty fast removal. Stubborn to remove spots please use any type of oil to push away or just re-wrap the finger. After you finish softly remove any access with a block buffer (yellow buffers are perfect for this). Wash your hands and then add oil to your cuticles with hand lotion. Remember tough spots may need to be re-wrap if all fails please return to the nail shop and ask them to safely remove your No Chip Manicure.

How do you remove gel topcoat that is over your natural nail and polish?

There are two easy ways to remove gel polish. One- fill a small bowl (glass) half full with acetone nail polish remover. Lightly file across the top of the gel, roughing up the surface a bit. Soak your fingertips in the acetone for 2-3 minutes. The gel will start lifting away from your nail bed. Using a cuticle stick, gently pull the gel away from the nail. Don't force it, just encourage the gel to lift. Let soak a few more minutes, repeating these steps until your nails are fell free. It only takes about 10 minutes. The 'foil method' can also be used. Cut 2-3 cotton balls into 4 pieces, each just big enough to cover your nails. Apply acetone to a piece of cotton ball, apply to the lightly filed nail, then wrap your fingertip in foil, covering the cotton ball. Repeat on all 10 fingers. Keep the foil on for 10-12 minutes. When you remove the foil, the gel will slide off on the cotton ball. The final method is also fantastic for removing the stubborn glitter polishes that are so difficult to remove. Important!!! You must moisturize your hands and nails well after using either of these methods. Acetone will dry out your skin and nail beds quickly.

How do i use the new over the counter nail gel?

To successfully create a great gel manicure, you'll need the following:UV light (either battery-operated or plug-in)Gel base coat (I use Red Carpet Manicure in Structure.)Gel nail polishGel topcoat (I use Red Carpet Manicure in Brilliant.)Rubbing alcoholOrange stickCotton ballsPrep WorkStart by removing all traces of previous polish, trimming and shaping your nails how you'd like them. Next, push back your cuticles with the orange stick. If you want to use a cuticle softener, then do that and push them back according to the directions on that product.Wash your hands and dry them thoroughly. Make sure your nails are as clean and dry as you can get them. I like finishing the prep with a nail prep solution that really dries out the nails. You could use rubbing alcohol for this step, too, just make sure it has all evaporated before you start applying polish. The ManicureAs you get started, always remember you can remove the gel with rubbing alcohol before it is cured. After curing, you will have to use acetone which will likely ruin the manicure on that nail. This stuff is heavy duty, so do not let it touch your skin-- especially if you have any open sores near your nails. Be sure to use very little gel. It is better to start with too little than to try to remove excess. Note that the gel base coat will spread to cover your nail. Take your time and get familiar with how it behaves on the nail.Step 1: Apply the base coat to the first four nails. "Cap" the free ends of your nails with a little gel to seal the layer. Failing to do this will result in an open edge that is more prone to chipping or even ripping off. Cure your nails for 1 minute. Be sure to expose the free edge of the nail to UV light as well, to ensure that part cures.Move on to the other hand and do four nails. Cure them for 1 minute. Then do the thumbs and cure them for 1 minute.Step 2: Apply the gel polish. Use the same technique as you did for the base coast, using very thin layers. You may notice the surface of your nails is tacky-- it is supposed to be! Don't worry! This layer will need to be cured for 2 minutes. Cure between each layer.Step 3: Apply the topcoat. Use the same technique again, capping the nails andcuring for 2 minutes. Again, make sure you get light exposure on the tips of your nails to cure the polish there as well!Step 4: Wipe with rubbing alcohol. Using the cotton balls (or other low-fiber applicator), wipe each nail with rubbing alcohol. This will remove the tackiness and leave your nails with a brilliant shine.RemovalTo remove a gel manicure, it is best to soak it for a while. The way to do that is to take an emery board and rough up the top layer of polish. Don't sand too much-- you don't want to take all the polish off this way! That would ruin your nails!Next, soak some cotton in acetone and press it onto the nails. You can wrap the cotton onto the nail with tape to hold it into place. Leave it in place for 10 to 15 minutes. While pressing down on the nail a bit, pull off the cotton. You should see much of the manicure pull off at that time. For what's left, use more acetone to remove the polish and use an orange stick to gently scrape off the stubborn bits. With enough patience, your nails should be in great condition after removing the gel polish. You're then ready for your next beautiful gel manicure!

How to get fake fingernails off the fingernail?

Soak in soapy hot water, make sure the water doesn't burn your fingers but the hotter the better the effect and the quicker it'll come off. After soaking using a tooth pick to slowly go around the outer edge of the nail. If it is painful as you are pulling it off then continue to soak your nails for a bit longer.M.Abdulla.
