Do you mean like "UL Listed"? If so, that is an organization that sort of certifies various type of appliances, mostly for saftey. Try this website, they'll prolly do a better job of explaining it than me... http://www.ul.com

UL in anatomy usually mean Upper Limb, but possibly Ulna bone. Usual use is "X-ray UL" upper limb x-ray to look at humerus and shoulder joints. I'm a Dr and this is how we used to specify it. Now though (in Australia) because of lawyers and blame-anyone people, we have to write out the order explicitly eg. Upper Limb X-Ray.




UL means Unilateral in anatomy..eg. unilateral (UL) undescended testis, Bilateral (BL) mammary artery.
