Microsoft WLM refers to both Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Messenger. The first is an email client, the second an online chat program. Windows is currently doing away with Live Mail, and it is being incorporated into Outlook.
According to Leo Notenboom, you must. WLM is essentially an upgrade to MSM Messenger, and it includes important security patches. See the web link (currently on the lower left) to Notenboom's article. In it, he mentions a few alternatives to WLM.
Messenger Plus! by far. It's an add-on for MSN/WLM that enhances the features of the client. EBuddy is just a crappy web-based copycat of MSN/WLM with little features in comparison, and often lags horribly at keeping up with the so-called "instant" messages.

You can download WLM from the official microsoft website by doing a simple search of the software. There are also many other sites that provides download link, for e.g cnet. Search WLM or windows live messenger and click a url that you recognise to prevent downloading a virus.

No, Toshiba's firmware in their blu-ray players makes it so you need their proprietary wireless adapter. Sort of a rip-off since I can't find one for less than $80. I moved my cable modem & wireless access point next to my blu-ray so I can connect them with a cat-5 cable, instead of shill out more bucks than I paid for the blu-ray.
You can first try to do a repair on windows live mail -> go to the control panel and select in progams, windows live essentials and hit repair , then reboot...if no success, then run malaware bytes or a virus scan on that specific folder or file ( wlm) and on your computer to check for any virusus , if not , then export your mail to a saved folder on your pc and unistall and reinstall windows live mail...make sure you save your account settings before doing this.
on the top right, you'll see a button "online", tap that button and a new menu will pop up, then look at the bottom and tap "sign out from here". also you should note, even at its current version (1.2.2, updated since 10 Oct 2011), Windows Live Messenger still does not support multitasking. this means that every time you leave the app, you will get logged out, and will be reconnected back when you open back up the app. using a 3rd party app for msn is best idea to stay online, get push, safe and secure, and never disconnected until you want to log out. good free IM apps are: imo.im, beejive WLM, meebo.
