The serial number will be located on the bottom side of the gun where the wood stock meets the metal of the gun. It will be stamped into the metal. Not sure about value. Value is dependent upon condition. We've seen low-condition Double Autos selling in the low $200's, up to over $800 for excellent guns. This gun was also offered with different color anodizing on the receiver, and some of those variants are rare and worth a premium. We are buyers on nice FN Brownings. sales@countrygunsmith.net

What is the question?
Browning Double Auto or Twelvette. Double Atuo's built as skeet/trap specific guns. Twelvettes were first built as a light weight womens gun.
The standard 12ga double auto shotgun was made from 1952-1960.If you have a lightweight double auto shotgun, these were made from 1952-1956.If you go to the browning web site and check the customer service section then they should be able to give you a exact year of production with your serial number.
Twelvette, Double Automatic, Auto 5. Twelvett, Double Automatic, Auto 5.

The browning web site will provide this info.
I thought twentyweight was for (20) gauge.. I assume you are talking about Browning shotguns? The "Double Automatic" was a Browning A5 type of gun that only held two shells. Lighter weight than a standard 12 gauge, maybe as light as a 20 gauge gun. The aluminum receiver would be the main way the weight was reduced on the 12 gauge. I'm sorry I don't have my Browning books handy to give any more info.
You did not give the sn. Call Browning.
