I have the same coin and I would value the coin at as little as five dollars based on the condition and the demand it is not worth much

It sounds like one of the mint tokens placed in with mint or proof sets. By themselves they really aren't worth much at all, a few cents at the most.
It's not gold and not minted in 1789. If your coin has a picture of George Washington on the front and the Statue of Liberty on the back, it's a modern brass $1 coin and is part of the new Presidential series. 1789 is the last year Washington served as President. The minting date is 2007 and is incused on the coin's edge. Hundreds of millions were minted so they're just worth $1.
It's not made of gold and it's worth one dollar. 1789-1797 were Washington's years as President.
A quarter from 1789 does not exist, the first one was made in 1796 and if you look under the AIRPLANE the date is 2001, spend it.
A coin stamped with 1789 with a profile of George Washington is not worth any monetary value. This type of coin was stamped privately and is commemorative.
