Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1837 Matron (Young) Head Large cent is a common date for this type of coin. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Most coins show a lot of wear. In general, retail values for low grade coins are $21.00-$31.00, better grade are $63.00-$100.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $192.00-$240.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer
Assuming that "1837" is a year, the value of the "8" is 800.

For any natural number n, the nth star number can be found from this formula. 6n(n - 1) + 1 For those who do not know, a star number is a figurate number that is a centered hexagram. It looks like a Chinese checker board, if you ever played that. Dr. Chuck

about $210
Sorry, no authentic U.S. Dollar coins are dated 1837. None were struck in this year.
yes
Due to the old-fashioned way they made coins back then, there are many subtle varieties in 1837 pennies. Although most of these coins are worth between $4 and $50, some can be worth up to a couple hundred. I would suggest asking a coin expert.
It's current value is about $100
Not gold or old. The date 2008 is on the edge of the coin. The dual dates 1829-1837 are the years Andrew Jackson served as president. It's just a dollar.
If it has an image of Andrew Jackson on it, then it's part of the current Presidential dollar series and is worth one dollar.
There are two varieties of the seated dime for 1837 both are worth about the same, with the small date variety being worth slightly more. I'm guessing your coin is circulated and fairly well worn. If that is so it can be worth anywhere from $25 to $400 depending on how worn the coin is. Take it to a coin dealer for an accurate appraisal.
Unfortunately the coin is only valued for the silver (about $2.00) unless someone wants it.
Check that coin again. The U.S. didn't mint any silver dollars that year.
It can range from virtually nothing to musueum priceless. It's all in the details of EXACTLY what you have.
